I took one of their historic on/off tours on my first visit to Savannah. I would recommend this option as it lets you wander around at your own pace.
I found it very informative and a great way to get an overview of the city's layout and great historical knowledge. This tour's price is comparable to other companies in town. Don't forget to call and make reservations first, preferably first thing in the morning so you have all day to tour.
Crystal is very friendly and enthusiastic about her work. She has a great staff and I've always been happy there. The prices were reasonable and there is a great variety of services. I've gone there for a massage, manicure and a haircut - great for some pampering without spending a fortune. It's not as fancy as some other spas in town but it does what it needs to.
Wegman's is the only grocery store that I consider a tourist destination! They have a wonderful carry out or dine in section which includes olive bars, salad bars, or made to order pasta and so much more.
The range of groceries is wonderful. Make sure you sign up for a Shopper's Club card to maximize your savings.
I've been very pleased in all my experiences with Wheeler Auto. Steve is very knowledgeable especially about Hondas and Toyotas. I would drive from an hour away just to take my car to him. He is great about telling you what you really need to fix. I have an older car and he will help me find used replacement parts when I am trying to save money. I still call him for advice even though I now live in Georgia.
I had lunch here a few times and really enjoyed it. It is a very small, casual place and sandwiches are between $4.50 and $6. The meat does not always have a lot of BBQ sauce but I prefer it that way because they have lots of tasty sauces on the table so you can add your own.
They also offer the option of taking home meat by the pound which would be great for parties or an easy dinner.
I used to go here regularly for lunch but now they don't open until later in the day. They have an amazing list of cocktails - lots of fun martinis. Service was friendly and indoor/outdoor seating available.
I regularly go here and see Sharon. I've found her to be friendly and listen to what you ask for but she will offer suggestions/help. Prices are reasonable and it is a casual environment. They don't push products on you.
This is a fun store to visit and give people a taste of Savannah. They have tons of nuts, jellies, and spreads - many of which are available to sample. My mom loves this orange pecan marmalade she found there.
Zunzi's is a bit hard to find but is well worth the search. There is no indoor dining but you can eat at one of their outside tables. Large portions and reasonably priced but not cheap. I think they describe the menu as having South African flair but you can get anything from lasagna to tuna melts to portabella mushroom sandwiches or salads. They also offer catering.
I'm not a football fan so this may impact my review. I think UGA fans would better appreciate the environment. They are always packed on game days. I found this to be satisfactory but nothing special. The food was good but basic bar food.
