Pros: LOCATION, STAFF, price, class availability, course offerings. A great place for beginners to start or experts to get teacher training. The staff becomes like family.
Cons: It gets hot in the main class room during the late summer because of the windows that face the sun.
Dr. Chard (shard, not charred) if kind and caring. You will have to wait a little while in the not so nice waiting room, but once you get face to face with Dr. Chard, he gives you his full attention and will not leave until all of your questions are answered and you are comfortable with your treatment plan. He is really great and easy to talk to and feel comfortable with. Smart and cute, too : )
Along with being FRENCH, you should EXPECT that the service is slow and the lattes are fabulous. The whole point of eating here is to enjoy the company you are with. The food takes a long time because it is made to order, beginning AFTER you have finished your first drink. This is the French way. THE FOOD IS SO GOOD.
If you are looking for fast food, go to McDonald's. There is one on Shattuck and University.
If not, go to The Drunken Boat! Yum!
Kalai is by far the BEST esthetician I have ever encountered. She was polite, professional, took every second too make sure that I was fully pampered and relaxed. I can't wait to go back.
They have bathtubs on the roof that are available for soaking in after a long day of sightseeing... so nice. The whole place is very Zen. I was there the first weekend they were open and have been back, the second time as a resident of SF, not a visitor. Delightful.
This is the next-door to-go mini- version of Bette's Diner... The lines are so long and it is so frustrating to get your stuff quickly. They don't have everything offered next door, but they do have some pastries that are not offered at the original.
The Paragon has amazing views from their deck. On a clear night it is quite romantic! You can see the entire Bay.
The "Claremont" cocktail is very good, they have the best lemon drops! Pretty good live music on weekends, too.
Lines are long for breakfast, yes... but did you know they serve dinner, too? All of the night shift servers are REALLY good looking, and the food isn't bad, either!
Wine list is pretty good, prices are fair for portion size. COMFORT FOOD! Best french fries!
This is a typical IHOP, long wait, bad service, coffee is burnt and/or cold, but you can't go wrong with their pancakes or the location!
This is the ultimate hangover cure... next time you are in North Beach : )
Convenient, cheap, great burritos and huge portions.
It is at the corner of 5th and Mission, really close to the new emporium.
This is the type of Mexican food that you find in Mexico-- AUTHENTIC! Yum!
