More Than Old is an antiques shop, but I've always found the inventory is not really antiques, but not kitchy collectibles also. I've consistently found it to be just old junk I don't want. The prices aren't that great either.
I just went to this store today, and loved it. I love a good vintage store. They specialize in women's clothes, shoes, accessories and jewelry. But there is also a fairly good-sized men's section. The inventory is huge. There are a lot of really lovely pieces. The owner is really friendly.
I don't like this Pietro's quite as much as the south Street restaurant. I think the way the food is prepared is slightly different, rending not quite the same tastes. This restaurant we like to go to for work lunches though because they have room for big groups.
I love the good from Pietro's. The pizza is really really good. The sauce is sweet and the mozzarella isn't gummy like american mozzarella. The crust is crispy. I really love the ceasar salad dressing also. Price is somewhat expensive for pizza, but it's worth it. The restaurant has a bar section, and the dining section is huge, with high ceilings.
This is a new outpost of the Glenside/Easton Rd. New Life Thrift. This one is a very small shop, with a more limited selection, but there is still a lot of clothes, house items and other goodies. Prices can't be beat.
This restaurant at the end of South St. serves a descent meal. They specialize in Thai food. the decor and service is nice. Prices are pretty reasonable. I like some of the Thai restaurants in Chinatown better, but this place is good if you are in the area.
This is pedestrian thai. This is the kind of "thai" restaurant watered down for American palates. Having had much better thai, and more traditional since, I don't recommend this place. For people who think they are being daring, when they are really aren't at all.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. It is in the most depressing part of South St., in the 20s. The neighborhood is dismal, and this restaurant isn't much better. There weren't that many people in there when we went, and the food wasn't that great.
This is a sort of depressing little grocery store right on south Street. Maybe in the day it was something special, but now it is kind of sad and run down. There are candy/cookie items, but everything seems overpriced and the selection isn't that great.
This place is always crowded and packed, but I am not a big fan. It is located in the mess of South Street, and its is just average bay and cheap restaurant food. I took my parents and we didn't think it was anything special.
