Whenever I'm doing some holiday baking, I stop by Nuts To You for bulk ingredients, particularly nuts! They sell all sorts of bulk products, not just nuts, at pretty reasonable prices.
This is a great neighborhood hang out for weekend coffee. It is spacious, with lots of tables. Free internet access. the coffee and food is delicious. More than typical coffee house fare. There is also a nice magazine selection.
I am not a huge fan of Public House. It is incredibly loud around happy hour if you are trying to talk to someone. The food in the restaurant park is not that great.
I had lunch here yesterday, and it was pretty good. They also own Public House and Field House. The spin here is southwest-ish style food. The homemade guacamole was delicious. Service was modest.
This is a wonderful restaurant specializing in Greek food. It is delicious, but be prepared to wait because the space is pretty small and there is limited seating. You can't go wrong!
I like to pop in here every now and again because it is a great thrift/collectibles/antique shop. It is a mix of knick knacks, furniture and books. The inventory is always turning over, and there are always good deals.
The name says it all. This is a deceptive shop because it doesn't look big from outside, but it is warehouse like and goes back room after room. They offer used and antique books, magazines, even old photos and postcards. Rooms and rooms of books. Also some limited furniture items also. A good place to hunt.
This is a pretty good framing shop in Queen Village, about a block from South Street. I've taken a bunch of things there for framing, and have been very satisfied with the results. The prices are on par with other framers. The turn around time can be long.
This is a fabulous neighborhood hardware store if you live the Queen Village area. It is tucked away right off South street. They have all the usuals, and are very helpful also. They make keys. Prices are reasonable.
I don't care for this place. To get to the restaurant part, you have to walk through the seedy, neighborhood bar area. The restaurant space seems like you are sitting in an added on trailer. It is like a long corridor they put tables in. The food wasn't good, yet it was still expensive.
