I love to browse in Orphelin. The selection is wonderful, and the store keeps going and going. Not just clothes, they also offer limited antiques and collectibles.
I had a club chair slip cover custom made by Maxie's and the service and end product was phenomenal. They came directly to the house to take the initial measures, and to install the slip cover afterwards. I picked out the fabric and trim at the store. The price was great!
I took a class at Sophie's Yarns, and it was wonderful. They are really patient and it was a lot of fun. They also host knitting circles, and have a fabulous selection of yarns and patterns.
This restaurant is a true hidden gem of the City. It is not well known because it is located in an out of the way location near Callowhill. But the restaurant is wonderful. The food is great. They specialize in seafood. The space is really neat, and there is also a bar.
Robertson's is my absolute favorite florist. The arrangements are top of the line and completely beautiful. The flowers are high quality. On the weekends, you can buy cut flowers at wholesale cost. There is a lovely assortment of gifts in the shop. My friend had her wedding flowers done there and they were beautiful.
My friends and I have gone to Dark Horse on numerous occasions. It is a bar and restaurant with two floors. The food is pretty good, and the bar is not too grungy, with good beer choices. It is located in head house square.
This is a pretty standard diner, open 24 hours. The fare is typical. Not super great quality. The restaurant is clean, and the service is nice. A popular hang out of the students from ARcadia.
My work colleagues and I come to Noche whenever we want to have a happy hour. Noche is right in the heart of center city, and is a spacious place to hang out with a group. The only downside is that it is very loud, so it is sometimes difficult to talk. The ceilings are high though and the atmosphere is very nice. The usual bar fare.
Whenever I have a friend I want to meet up with to catch up during the work week, I suggest Matyson. The food and services is great, the prices aren't too bad, and it is located in center city near Market. This is a really elegant place to fine.
This is a great new children's and baby clothes boutique right on Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill. Tons of cute choices of baby outfits, stuffed animals and children's clothing. A great place to get your next baby gift.
