My friends have met here for book group several times. We have always loved it. The food is really good. I like the porkchops the last time I was there. The service is good. The decor is nice.
I love Loie. It is a bar and restaurant right off Rittenhouse square. It is known for its salads and burgers. Delicious. The decor is really nice. There is an amazing chandelier. I highly recommend.
Great bar bar to meet friends for drinks. Serious beer selection, and the burgers and Monk's fries are famous. There is ample seating and several rooms. The bar is narrow, but deep.
Inconsistent, not so great Chinese food. We are allowed to order here from work for dinner if we are staying late, and it isn't an enticement. The sauces are oily, and the meat is sometimes questionable.
This is a must do tourist attraction, if you have guests visiting in town. A great place to go for lunch. The choices are endless. It is fun just to wander around. All the stalls are good, but I'm partial to the Amish meat sellers.
The food is good here. Kind of higher end, upscale, and slightly more creative diner food. Booth and counter seating is nice. It is never that crowded. Staff is somewhat aloof.
I can't say enough good things about Pad Thai Shack. It is delicious, high quality thai good. Absolutely everything is prepared very well with great flavors. It is a tightly run ship, with take out for business lunchers as well as a few counter seats. I love the grilled chicken salad and the grills the best.
A somewhat hidden treasure for seafood lovers. This tiny tiny restaurant is located just off Rittenhouse Square. It specializes in all things fresh seafood. There are only a few tables, and there is often a wait. There is also a small bar up front. I highly recommend.
This is a nice alternative bookstore to Barnes and Noble if you are near Rittenhouse Square. It is small, but packed with treasures. The staff is wonderful. My friends and I like to browse here during lunch. Covers all genres.
When I am at work I like to stop by Robin's at lunch. I primarily go for the only slightly dated magazine section. They get overstock books and all sorts of magazines from bookstores, and sell them cheaper. It is great for browsing.
