Parc is Stephen Starr's stab at a French Bistro and he hits the mark. The atmosphere is noisy and sparse , but enjoyable. The menu features French staples and is slightly limited. The food was presented and tasted like the meals I had in Paris.
Although Botto's has been there for many years, I made my first visit this weekend. The menu is traditional Italian (pasta, veal, chicken) with an emphasis on seafood. Our entrees were quite good and our service was quick and courteous. The atmosphere is business casual with hundreds of photographs on the walls. The entrees were moderate to expensive as was the wine list.I will definitely return again.
A fun visit to the Dixie Stamped is about expectations. Your evening starts with a photograph, and a pre-show where you can purchase beverages. The pre-show was fun. Next you move to the main area where you eat a "country dinner" chicken, corn, biscuits, etc. with no utensils. The food is satisfactory. You watch and participate in a rodeo, variety show which is fun, but not fantastic. Overall, it is a pleasant way to spend an evening; however, the tickets are expensive, and I wouldn't make a yearly ritual of visiting. If your are not expecting an incredible meal and show, you will have a fun time.
Almost every light fixture in my home is from Lamp and Shade Works. The showroom has many styles to choose from. However, they have an incredible internet service wherein you select the type of lighting you want, the finish, the style etc. and you can shop their entire inventory. You save your choices, go to the store and pull up your wish list. They then can show you what the style and finish look like in person. It is an amazing way to shop. I frequently have a pretty strong idea of what I want in a light fixture, and with this service I can compare items and prices before I set foot in the store. Their prices are higher than chain stores, but you will not find this selection at a chain store.
Grossman's is almost as good as getting custom furniture without paying a custom price. They carry an incredible selection of brand names and every type of furniture that one can imagine. Their salespeople are knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. They have a large showroom and countless catalogues to find the exact piece you are looking for. If you cannot find what you want here, than good luck.
I have used Marrone Custom Cabinets for the Corian in my bathroom as well as custom cabinets and countertops in my basement. They have also put cabinets in my laundry room. Ron Marrone, the owner is a friendly, professional guy who really listens to your needs and designs the space to accommodate. His workers are clean, reliable and trustworthy. All three jobs were completed at the estimated price and I was thrilled with the finished product.
Anne was recommended to us by my brother who had used her on two occasions. We were looking for a new home and she was a fantastic agent. She had us looking at listings the minute they were on the market. Further, when it was time to close on our home, she made sure everyone was doing their jobs and she ensured that there would be no last minute surprises at the settlement table. Over the past few years I have recommended Anne to several people who needed a Realtor and they were always pleased with her results.
The menu items are quite good, and I particularly like their salad bar. They have a game room which the kids love while they are waiting for their food. The service is quick and the restaurant is clean.
Mandarin Court is much nicer than your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. The interior is very clean and almost elegant. The food is quite good and the prices are reasonable. They have seasonal specials in addition to your standard Chinese menu items. The service can be a bit abrupt which is the only drawback.
Both Waterparks owned by Morey's Pier are great, but this one seems to have more to do. There are two play areas, and many slides. They run specials for off-peak times to reduce the cost. The food at the snack bars can get pricey and during the peak season the lines can be daunting. My family makes a point to visit at least once a year.
