This is the only place that I will by my peanuts to make boiled peanuts at home. All of their produce is fresh and the prices are really competitive.
My husband promised to take me here for years before we finally went. I have to say, it was all he said it would be. The seafood was very fresh and delicious. I especially liked the hush puppies - yum!
This is a WONDERFUL place to leave your pets when you need them cared for while out of town, etc. The staff loves all of their borders and treat them like family. Unfortunately, my black Lab was in their care when he died from his cancer. They took care of all the calls to the vet, etc. and seemed as sad about his passing as if he were one of their own. I will never forget their compassion with my other puppy, then left without her "brother" until we could get back to town. You'll need to make a reservation.
The owners are so helpful in finding "just the thing" you're looking for! They are prompt, efficient, economical, and SO able to do just what you want. They have a wide variety of shirts, jackets, etc. and,if you want something unusual, they'll get it for you!

Delicious sushi. Sweat and sour chicken is not my favorite (they put the sauce on the chicken) but the sushi is good and fresh and there's a very short wait.
Strokos is one of the best Delis in the city. Thy offer sandwiches, hot food, and pizza. This location is close to Columbia University and St. Luke's hospital, which makes it a little busy but they move fast. The other location is near Columbus Circle, John Jay College, Fordham University and St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. Not the cheapest meal in New York, but work it and they give you a lot of food.
Toast has great burgers and fries. Kind of small, lighting is dim. They have a couple locations which is convenient. Prices are super reasonable. Also good take out.
