I was just at this salon and the staff is well trained and give great cuts. They only use the best products, and the shop is very clean and friendly. There are windows all around so it doesn't feel like a normal salon, its birght and airy. Its a great place to get a cut, color or for otehr salon needs.
This is a nice La Quinta. The rooms are clean and the staff is accomodating. Its also nice that they breakfast is free when you need something early in the morning.
This is just like any other Holiday Inn, nothing special for Vegas but ifyou are on a quick trip and just need a place to stay for the night if you just need a place to crash.
Athenas used to be Numero Uno and since it changed years back it has kept the nice charm of the original place but with better food. Their service is good and the staff is very friendly.
I love this little store and although I wouldn't do major shopping here because of the prices, they are great when you don;t want to drive all the way into town. Its a true country market where the staff is really nice and helpful. In fact one day I wanted to make biscuits and gravy and they were out of canned biscuits and the baker gave me some of his pre-made dough. You don;t get service like that at a major grocery store.
The Pines Village Bakery is no longer a full bakery (trust me, I was disappointed when I tried to buy a Birthday Cake there recently). Apparently the new owners decided a bakery wasn't going to make it and so now they are more of a half donut shop, half pizza joint. They also have a nice arcade in the back which I have never seen open. The pizza is good and its a nice place to snack in the Pines Village.
Coarsegold is a nice little town on HWY 41 south of Yosemite. The town has grown since the casino opened on the hill but the food and shops have remained about the same. The Grizzley Bear has changed hands a few times over the years, mostly because business is slow in this sleepy town, but the food is consistent and the prices are fair. Its a great place to stop on the way up the Highway or for a bite to eat outside of the Casino.
This is a nice place for a bite out on a Friday night. The menu selection is good and the atmosphere is really nice and cozy. They offer a full bar and the prices are OK for an upscale type restaurant.
This resort is really all inclusive with a movie theatre, bowling alley and lots of stuff for the whole family. Their rooms are adequate and the casino has tons of options. They are at the end of the Laughlin strip but still close enough to get to everything else.
Harrahs is a really nice hotel in Laughlin. The pool area has a really nice bar and they play some great music during the day. They also have easy access to the water Taxi's and the rest of the boardwalk. The rooms are nice and clean with wonderful views of the river. This is one of my favorite places to stay in the area.
