This is a very small, crowded store and it's hard to find things, but they do have a fairly decent selection of popular wines and liquors. The staff is willing to help you find what you want, and will make recommendations if they don't have it. Prices are very competitive.
They have been in the same location for as long as I can remember. It's a Thanksgiving tradition for many of us to stop by for a gallon of fresh cider, homemade pie and the best pumpkin bread I've ever tasted. Just be prepared for a long line!
Sal has done a lot of work in this area, for both business and residential customers, including me and many of my neighbors. He and his crew can handle many different types of home improvement from simple projects such as installing windows and doors to more complicated custom woodworking. Since he is the owner as well as one of the crew, he is always onsite to make sure the job is done to your satisfaction.
Have been there for both lunch and dinner, and I have to say the service is better for the lunch crowd. Food is good, but is a bit overpriced. Nice atmosphere though if you are lunching with a client.
Good place to go if you need to buy beer and/or soda in large quantities for a party or some other event and you want a local source. Prices are fairly competitive.
No one wants to have a tooth extracted, or any other form of oral surgery, but if it's necessary, Dr. Hirsch is outstanding. He and his entire staff put you right at ease. He is very gentle and careful, and works as quickly as possible. He even personally calls you later in the day to make sure you are not having any problems or extreme discomfort. He also takes the time to explain the procedure and will answer any questions patiently. I strongly recommend Dr. Hirsch.
La Focaccia is located in Levittown's East Village Green so parking is easy. You can buy a slice or homemade hero to go or eat in (all the landscapers stop there for lunch), or have a full-course dinner in their dining room. The food is delicious and the prices are great considering the quality. The restaurant is spotless, and the wait staff friendly.
I needed to have a flat fixed and they did the job quickly and had the tire back on my car in almost no time at all. If a tire can be fixed, they don't automatically try to sell you a new one. One time, I noticed a nail in the front tire. I drove the car there and asked them to check it. The mechanic pulled the nail and checked for a leak while I watched. No repair needed - no charge. That's honesty.
Have been picking up flowers from Phil's for years for many special occasions and have always been satisfied. Prices are fairly reasonable and the quality always excellent.
They have a great meat department - good quality and low prices. Produce is also a bargain, though advertised items are often not in stock. The baked goods are pricey, though excellent, except for the bread and rolls in the front of the store. To me, the fresh baked Portugese bread and rolls are the reason for the trip here.
Biggest drawbacks - the store is too small, not very clean, and always overcrowded - parking is difficult and it's a challange getting in and out of the lot.
