They stock a very wide selection of natural and organic items such as food, fruit and vegetable drinks, cosmetics, even pet supplies for your furkids, all at fairly reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
From a slice of fresh baked brick oven baked pizza to a multi-course dinner, this is the place to go. The food is prepared expertly and served by a friendly and attentive staff. Can't beat the prices either.
For the best kielbasa on Long Island, you can't beat Sikorski's. They also are a great source for many Polish items such as other special meats and cold cuts, homemade pirogi, imported jams and jellies, candies, babka, sauerkraut, cookies, and even Easter egg decorations. To top it off, their prices are very reasonable.
If you enjoy real old fashioned chewy bagels like the kind you ate as a kid (especially if you grew up in one of the 5 boroughs), you have to visit Bageltown of Levittown. Their bagels are hand made, boiled and then baked for a crispy outside and chewy inside. They also offer a full service deli, and can make delicious sandwiches to order.
I can strongly recommend Bethpage Animal Hospital for your pets. Doctors Tom Polehinke and Beth Marchitelli take excellent care of my dog and two senior cats. They have a lot of patience with the pets they treat (and my dog is a handful), and take the time to answer any and all questions. The practice provides services ranging from routine checkups and vaccinations to sophisticated diagnostic tests and surgeries. The doctors, as well as every member of their support staff (vet assistants, vet techs, receptionists, office manager) treat you as a friend and not just a client.
