They have an excellent selection of decor for you house or camp in the Adirondacks. They have chairs, rugs, furniture, antlers, pillows, bedding and every other type of nick nack and item you can think off. It's very well decorated and the presentation makes you want to buy something. They have a lot of very nice items. If you need a some decorating ideas, this is the place to go.
If you want something a little different in Lake Placid stop in here. The food is very good. The gyro's are excellent, and the platters come with excellent french fries. The Greek salad is also terrific. The decor is very rustic. It's little off the beaten path of down town, but not a far walk or quick drive. Well worth the travel time.
This is a nice little place to grab a bite to eat if your skating down on the oval. They have your standard Italian fare. The chicken parm is very good, owners are very nice. Good place to get a quick meal before you move onto your next adventure.
If you are ever in Lake Placid, this is a MUST, MUST DO!! This is one of the best rides money can buy. Nowhere else can you ride down a half mile bobsled track. It's over in about 40 second, but it is awesome!! The price is a little high, but it is worth every penny. Make sure you make reservations before you guy, most weekends this ride sells out and there are only a limited amount of rides per day. There is a wheeled version and the traditional on ice. The ice version is no comparison.
This place is right on main street, and is very convenient to get to. The pizza is very good, and you can easily order by the slice. The service is a little slow, but steady. They usually have a good crowd during the busy time, so you should expect to wait. I would definitely stop in for a slice.
This place is on Mirror Lake and makes decent pizza, for the area. They don't sell slices only whole pies. The main dishes are very good, have had the ravioli, and chicken parm. They were both excellent. The view of the lake is also outstanding. If not for the food, the view is terrific.
This is a good place to stop in, have a hamburger and a beer. The beer is cold and fresh, the burgers are outstanding. The wings are also excellent. It's a little off the beaten path of main street, but it's worth the walk. Stop in and try it out.
This is a nice place to stop by and have a quick hamburger or sandwich. The wait staff is nice and the service is OK. The barbecue is not the best and would not recommend. A fun and festive place through.
If you want quick Mexican food, prepared quickly this is the place to go. There is rarely a wait and the food is prepared as you wait. The selections are very good and the salsa bar is a nice addition. I like that you can bring your booze if you so choose to, a nice little added bonus. If you want something made fresh and quickly you should try it out.
This is a nice little Italian restaurant. The pizza is very good, and the crust is thin. The main dishes are also very good. The chicken parm is good, and also the calamari marinara is delicious. The service is sometimes slow, but if you're not in a hurry, then no problem.
