I used this company for a flip I'm doing at Parkside. I found their rate to be a little over average. Yes, NOT CHEAP, but I would say just a little over average and not exactly outrageous either.
What I did appreciate was the way their plumber was absolutely on the ball when all he-- broke loose on my job. Not due to his fault, but when my General decided to put a wall 1 foot over from the blueprint (to save money), all the plumbing on that wall would have had to be redone if it wasn't from Friendly putting a stop to it and refusing to do the job even though my General was apparently already making a huge stink about his timelines. He tried to explain what was going on to the guy's crew, and later to me.
This kind of professionalism is why I am willing to pay the extra buck, because my project would have been up (you know what's) creek if Friendly wasn't on the ball.
I used to live near this place, which is why I'm reviewing it. It's good that they have a large selection, because there aren't too many drug stores nearby. It's funny how as with other Walgreens, they have less than top quality merchandise. They get three stars from me because the people who work are almost always in a very bad mood too.
Wheel Works charged me over $1K for 4 new tires for my SUV. They're all supposed to have extended warranties, so when I got a flat about 1 month after installation, I thought nothing of it because I was under the impression that I was completely covered.
I go there and they tell me to come back in 2 hours because they're busy. I come back, I was told my car was next on the rack. 30 minutes later, so it was. Then, a salesperson tries to sell me every warranty on the book for this new tire they're about to install. I asked him "Shouldn't it still be under warranty because the tire that got a flat was, after all". No, I'm done for. Another 30+ minutes later -- they tell me that they don't have my tire on stock after all.
So it took this long to tell me this? They proceed to change the flat with my spare and they take the flat. I'm supposed to get a call from them when the new tire comes-in. That was over a week ago. Guess what? No call as of yet. Wheel Works can not be trusted!
I find the prices great and a good place to find organic or unique food items. Parking is always a bit tricky, especially on a Saturday afternoons. One of their best items? Why, they're the only source for Snap Pea Crisps -- a light and denture-safe snack!
I love the opera house! It has a wonderful old feeling. If visiting San Francisco, go there, and you can't miss. Everything there is first class. They have the very best shows and the performers are always top notch. Yes, I love the opera!
My large pantry at home really gets used because of the savings I get by buying in bulk. Or so I delude myself.
No really, need some office supplies? They have it! Need gardening do-dads, check too! My favorite is the automotive section. I really can't have enough shammies or oil for my car.
Cosctco competes with Sam's Club and Costco is far superior, hands down!
Discount Builders is conveniently located and I like the fact that there are people there to help me if I have a question. They have a wide selection of building materials and their hours are far superior from local hardware stores near my neighborhood.
If I go in the middle of the day, parking is a little bit congested, but this is the only place I've found to sell a $40 pedestal sink, which is an excellent deal for my rental units.
