The facials are worth the drive to the City. Lori is experienced and skilled in skin care. She has great and timely recommendations for maintaining good skin health. She also does a mean (good) wax job! The place is small but clean and welcoming with its aromatherapy and coziness. Finding parking is not a hassle (imagine that in SF?!).
Floor Dimensions has a great selection of quality, name-brand flooring choices. Whether tile, hardwood, carpet, ceramic, marble, etc., they have something for every taste. The installation of our hardwood was superbly completed in good time and order. There was a minimal amount of distraction to our environment and the workers were very professional. There prices are very competitive with other stores but, I still say paying a little more for great service and superior product is well worth it.
I went to store with a friend. They like to tout their selection of name brand designer used clothes. I wasn't impressed. Their prices seem pretty high for thrift items compared to the retail prices at the mall. My friend had to wait an inordinate amount of time to turn in merchandise for cash/store credit. Most of the staff were pretty snobby (they work in a secondhand store - as if?!).
Where do fashionistas on a budget get their fan gear and keep their well-earned fashion maven status? Fashionphile, of course. If you want authentic designer bags and purses, check out their site for good prices ok a large assortment of gently-used name brand bags. They get lots of Louis Vuitton stuff in all of the time!!
Poppy has some of the cutesy apparel available for the 12-under set. They have clothes ranging from classic to trendy, chic to yachty. Admittedly they sell quite high end fashions, but that's because it fits into it's Brentwood setting and shopping here is more like a lifestyle experience - not a chain store thrift visit, so the prices are unabashedly high. They also have items for parents.
El Taquito is more traditional than most Mexican food places in the area and pretty affordable. The food is well-seasoned, fresh and tasty. The colorful decor is inviting and the restaurant is really family-friendly. The service was good, the food was good, the prices were really good (low).
La Villa is a good, no-fuss place for good tacos and nachos - tasty with plenty of fresh salsa. I'm pretty picky about my salsa so I usually only try a very small amount at first. The mild was pretty good but a little sweet. The spicy is spicy indeed. I left the fire kind to my sister to try. The service is good and the prices are reasonable.
My husband is a big fan of Dave's chicken tacos - crisp tortillas, fresh toppings. The prices are really low but the quality is really high. Super bargain! With an actual location, Dave's can serve more people than he could from his taco truck and we can go there instead of his truck down!
There are a lot of good places to get a few tasty Mexican dishes but Vallarta offers traditional varieties and all of it is good. My sister was really happy with her frozen beverage concoction (mango-guayba margarita). The chips on my nacho platter were fresh and crisp and the guacamole was deliciously creamy. Our food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly.
This is a good place to get a quick bite to eat in the middle of a shopping day. We enjoyed the chips and salsa - crisp chips and just-right salsa (not too spicy, not too cold). The food is tasty and the service is good. Their prices are reasonable.
