My future in-laws love their two dogs, so I had to stop by and grab a little something for them before visiting. The dog treats are so pretty! I was shocked. They had a lot of other things in the store: leases, collars, food, snacks, toys, and even those dog outfits (poor dogs!). Dogs are welcome in the store. The woman working there was very friendly and patient with me since I didn't know what I was looking for.
This store is next to another that I needed to pop into, but when I saw the cases of chocolates I had to go peek at them. The smell was wonderful as soon as I stepped in the door. They had a great selection of chocolates, in another area from where you could order cakes. I had the chocolate covered graham cracker. Sounds boring, but it was DELICIOUS!
This store carries a great selection of toys and craft items for kids. I stopped by here before Christmas while looking for a last minute gift. The store was brightly painted and well organized. I had a great time browsing and lost track of time while I was there. They have toys that are educational, just for fun, and also carry lots of art/craft supplies. When I asked an employee a question, they bent over backwards to help me. Excellent store!
This is a fun and funky store to browse in. They carry all kinds of music, including the hard to find. Talking with any of the employees has always been a delight. They are all passionate about music, and really know a lot. A must when you are down on Mass Ave.
Global Gifts is a great place to look for gifts. This is a fair-trade business that brings things from all over the world, but also supports local nonprofits. This location carries soup mixes made by women in Northern Indiana who are trying to stay off of welfare. Really nice to know that you're buying a gift that helps.
It seems like every Girl Scout party, school party, work party, or church gathering ended up with the giant bags of Weaver popcorn. Delicious and a great price!
This is a great hardware store for our small town of North Webster. The employees are helpful, but the service isn't always fast. Prices are good for a small town.
I was at Napper Tandy's when they were holding a fundraiser. The food was good, and we had great (and fast) service even though it was really busy in there. My brother from Chicago was visiting and he said it was a great place. Not only that, it is really pretty inside. The wood and the little nooks everywhere are fun to look at.
My brother took me here the first time I went, and I fell in love. Delicious Mediterranean food! Prices are kind of high, but it is worth it. The decor inside can be funny around Christmas when they put a Santa hat on a mummy sarcophagus. There are really pretty things to look at on the walls and at the table. This would be a fun date dinner.
There's nothing like it on a nice summer day. Pull up, roll down the window, and they will come to door to order your food. The root beer is really good (I think you can buy it to take home) and the hot dogs are good. I would highly recommend a trip here, especially if you have kids. I really think they would enjoy it.
