Pike Creek Bowling Ctr

Pike Creek Bowling Center's days may be over. They do have the best food of the local bowling centers due to their access to the Charcoal Pit, but their lanes are poorly maintained and the ball returns damage balls. I would recommend bowling elsewhere.

Women's Sports Specialties Inc

Women's Sports Specialties caters to female athletes and carries apparel for women of all sizes. Their shoe selection is second to none in the area for women, and they know how to fit a women's foot. Since I was told of the store about 10 years ago, I have bought only 1 pair of running shoes elsewhere. Women's Sports Specialties has my business. They will special order, too.

Chester County Running Store

Chester County Running Store spends the time to fit feet properly by watching customers walk without shoes before fitting them for shoes. They ask about problems and even have a treadmill in the store if they need to see more of your walking or running to help fit or solve problems. The Chester County Running Store looked at my feet, listened to my problems, looked at my old shoes and brought 3 pairs from the back. All 3 fit and were comfortable. Had I been able to afford them, I would have bought all 3 pairs.

Chester County Running Store also has a list of running activities posted in the store and offers a discount to walkers in the Breast Cancer 3-Day.

Six Nations Indian Museum

Our children both enjoyed the Six Nations Indian Museum, which means it must be excellent! They never agree on anything! There was a storyteller inside and plenty to see and touch. Outside there were informative and interesting artifacts and buildings. The Six Nations Indian Museum can be seen in an hour or in several hours depending on the ages of your children, but it's interesting enough for teens and adults, too.

Fortune Studio

Fortune Studio is a gem in the village of Saranac Lake. The artist is often there and is more than willing to talk about his paintings and his painting process. Fortune Studio has works of all sizes for sale.

Bill Furry Electrical Svc

Bill Furry Electrical has worked for us several times. He increased our electrical service and replaced our old glass fuse box with more modern circuit breakers. Bill postponed another job to do this because leaving our electrical service alone any longer was a fire hazard. He also put in several lights, bathroom fans and ceiling fans in some bedrooms. Bill Furry Electrical was neat and we had no problems with any of his work or the fixtures he installed.

Appliance Doctor has repaired our refrigerators, stove, washer and dryer. When the dryer began squealing again the same repairman returned to check it out, made another repair at no charge! Appliance Doctor gives a narrow arrival window so you don't have to wait all day for them, and if you work near your home, they will call when they are on their way so you can stay at work as long as possible.

Adirondack Trading Co

The Adirondack Trading Company has gift ware, towels, t-shirts, postcards, dishes, soaps, books about the area, and a wonderful section of gifts for children. It's a charming crowded shop where you are certain to find something to please that special person.
