Tail 'O The Pup serves up barbecue, lobster, and roadside fare. The food was better years ago, but the picnic-style atmosphere, nearby swings and bonfire in the evening make it a place not to miss.
Call your order in ahead of time or you'll be sure to wait at Mike's. But it will be worth your time for some of the best fresh turkey subs around. They accept credit cards at Mike's Famous Steaks and Subs.
Maharaja Indian Restaurant's food is a treat! I have been there only for their lunch buffet, so waiting for food to be prepared and served is not a problem. The flavors are authentic and the buffet foods are prepared on the mild side. Those that are spicier are so labeled.
Joy Garden in Suburban Plaza is a good place to stop for a quick bite while you are out shopping with your family. Their menu has the usual Chinese offerings as well as some completely vegetarian dishes if you prefer more vegetables.
Hibachi has a wonderful Sushi Bar if sushi is all that interests you, but they also have tables where your meal is prepared in front of your eyes with loads of theatrics some corny antics and a whole lot of fun.
Hibachi is a great date place, a wonderful celebration location, and they have superb sushi.
The Glass Kitchen's food is nothing extraordinary. The menu is similar to many local chains and diners, though much smaller than a diner menu. The treasure of the Glass Kitchen is the glass enclosed kitchen. The kitchen is in the center of the restaurant surrounded by glass so everyone at the restaurant can see inside the kitchen. My children loved going there just to be able to watch inside the Glass Kitchen.
El Jefe Restaurant and Bar offers more than the typical tacos found in many other "Mexican" restaurants around the area. They have spicy mole dishes, they have home-made guacamole made fresh to order from real avocados! That by itself makes El Jefe worth a visit!
D & H Jamaican Cuisine has 2 sides to the restaurant. One side is very casual, almost indoor picnic like. I suppose it's the bar, but as long as you are not sitting at the bar with children, young people are permitted. The other side is a little less casual but casual still. The food is wonderful. I've never been to Jamaica, but everything I've eaten here for from here is full of flavor. The meats are tender and juicy.
D & H Jamaican is a great place to go for something a bit different!
Peace A Pizza has traditional pizza but appeals to the pizza lover who likes their pizza a little outside the box. Their toppings are a bit more exotic than the usual pizza place, and include eggplant, barbecue chicken and artichokes. Peace A Pizza makes a great pie.
Mayflower Japanese Restaurant has good, inexpensive sushi. The service is usually quick, and carry-out is available. Everything we have ordered there has been of great quality except the eel, which had a bone in it. So..if you want good, affordable sushi, order it from Mayflower.
