If you lived in Brentwood up to the late '90s, you'll remember that Burger King was "the only" fast food establishment for miles! Everyone went here...even if you didn't like Burger King (like me).
I've been to this Denny's a couple of times years ago, before the new one opened up on Lone Tree in Brentwood. This one's a little on the scary side, so I'd recommend you go to the Denny's on Lone Tree instead!
This is a really nice McDonald's on Balfour Road, just West of the Highway 4 Bypass. It's quite new, very clean and the employees are friendly. I love getting iced coffee now that they have McCafe!
This Quiznos is located near Starbucks in the Raley's Shopping Center on Sand Creek at the Highway 4 Bypass. They have good tuna sandwiches, especially if you ask for extra pepperoncinis and add their creamy horseradish sauce!
This is a somewhat newer Jack In The Box located right off Brentwood Boulevard in the vicinity of Taco Bell and KFC, which are located on the other side of the street and a little further down the road. It's really just your typical Jack In The Box.
There was a time years ago that I liked KFC and I went to this location during that time. I liked their extra crispy drumsticks and corn on the cob, but not much else. I think my tastes have changed because I don't like KFC anymore, but nothing against this particular one.
This Subway is located on on Balfour Road, just West of Walnut Boulevard. I used to get their tuna sandwiches all the time when I worked in this shopping center...but when I gave them my "Buy 9, Get The 10th Sandwich Free" card, they told me they wouldn't accept it because the program expired. I thought they should have at least given me the 10th sandwich, since I did buy the first 9 from them before the program expired...but oh, well. I've never been back since.
Although I'm not a fan of Denny's, sometimes nothing tastes better than breakfast after midnight! This Denny's is actually of the better ones I've been to, not that they are much competition, but this one at least seems to be clean and has friendly, attentive servers.
We ate here once years ago and unfortunately we thought their food was so awful that we never came back again the entire time we lived in Brentwood and Discovery Bay.
You can watch the boats launch into the Delta from the restaurant at Orwood Resort, which is known for their "Okie Tacos"! Better yet, come here by water and not by land!
