Cool place to shoot pool. Diverse crowd. What I like is that they serve PBR on tap. It's a decent place to hang out with friends. The music here is a mixed bag. They play good stuff at times, like classic rock and oldies, but at other times its rap crap that I can't stand. And when its rap, it's ALWAYS too loud.
Hate to start off negative, but the parking here sucks. If you want to see a show, be sure to get here early. This Spikes is a lot bigger and better looking than the one in Rosemead. HUGE dance floor. Definitely a plus for me.
Yum. Love their frozen yogurt. In the heart of Old Town Pasadena, so parking is ridiculous. But if your already in the area, go for it. Your tastebuds will thank you
Wonderful gem of a museum, founded by the industrialist and marketing genius who made his millions running Hunt's Foods. He had been amassing his own private art collection for years and then in the early 1970's took control of the struggling Pasadena Museum of Modern Art. He brought in his own collection and renamed the museum after himself.
Don't know why the Getty gets all the attention -- this little museum has an amazing collection of Impressionist, Old Masters, and East Asian art.
On Colorado Blvd. just east of Orange Grove Blvd. If you watch the Rose Parade on TV on January 1st, you have probably seen the exterior of this building.
Jade Palace is a quaint little restaurant in Irvine. Service is OK but not great. Food however, is quite good, and a good value for the $. Love the tangerine chicken.
LT is a pretty nice place. Classy ambiance. EXCELLENT all-you- can-eat focaccia bread served at every table. Always generous portions. Dishes are not too salty, not too greasy. I like their lasagna and their jumbalaya. Service is pretty fast.
Located across from the Cheesecake Factory.
Warning: Parking can be a challenge.
Damn does this guy make a great fish taco. These have got to be the best fish tacos in the LA area. Ricky uses FRESH fish, and the batter he makes is out of this world.
Location: Silver Lake, Sunset Junction, Mi Alma garden store. Worth the drive!
Only open weekends.
Sorry guys, but I won't be coming back. The service department sucks. I had to return several times for the same issue.
Cool setting. My favorite dish: Rock Shrimp and Asparagus Roll. All of their sushi is VERY FRESH.
I also recomend the Tempura with Jalapeno.
Expensive? You bet, and worth every yen. Very attentive service.
No one does hot dogs like Skooby's. No one! This is by far my favorite place for hot dogs (ok, except for Nathans in Brooklyn.) Also, best freakin' lemonade on the planet.
