I had heard great things about their fried chicken and was not disappointed. It's the best! It's rare that a meal lives up to the hype but this surely did.
The menu features a great selection of food and wine. I've been for both brunch and dinner and have enjoyed both. If you go in the winter, you'll be comforted by a roaring fire in the dining room. In the spring, you can sit outside. Either way you can't lose.
I would recommend going for the Cosmopolitans alone. But the food is great as well. I would recommend their Sunday brunch to everyone. Midtown location makes it a great place to go before or after a trip to a theater or museum.
I only recently got my heating and air system so I cannot comment as to the speed of service or maintenance.I did get quotes from several companies when looking to replace my heating and air system. The salesman from Anchor took the time to locate all the vents in my house and to ask how I used my heat and air as well as what my monthly bills typically ran. I thought this was all vital information in deciding which system to recommend and yet they were the only company to do it.I was less than thrilled with the cleanliness of my dining area after they finished the inside work. And when I needed some information for a refund that was available on the system, I had to call more than once to get it.
I've taken a couple of classes at this location and have been pleased each time. If you take a hands on class you'll be sure to walk out with your handiwork as well as samples from your classmate and probably the instructor,You can find some of the items for sale cheaper elsewhere but the people that work here know there stuff more than someone working at an all purpose store who just happens to work in the kitchen section. And you're sure to find an item or two that you wouldn't be able to get anywhere else. If nothing else, it's fun place to browse.
I love to go here and get the buffet. It's simple food and would probably fall in the fast food category. But their fried chicken in the best - crunchy, spicy and full of flavor. They have a great assortment of sides - mashed potatoes, carrots, corn on the cob, fried okra, red beans and rice and more. They've recently added fried fish to the buffet. It's good but I'm there for the chicken. They do a good job of keeping the buffet well stocked. Don't worry about the calories just go check it out.
I've been to Harry's a few times. It's a small restaurant and that would be fine if the music wasn't usually turned up to blaring. Add in the TVs and you can forget having any sort of conversation.
We asked once about adjusting the volume and the girl behind the counter just told us she would get in trouble if she did. At the time, we were the customers in the place so I don't know who she was worried about.
The food is okay but you can find pizza just as good elsewhere and I find the beer selection be to be lacking.
I like Mink's because they have a good selection of everything - beer, wine, liquor and mixers. And the service is good to. There are usually employees out on the floor so you can ask questions or they will inquire of you if you look confused.
The store is a little old and seems a little shabby on the inside. And the liquor section in particular is crowded. But the wine section is laid out in a way that makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
This is a very popular restaurant not far from the Marietta Square. I've never had anything here that I didn't enjoy and the margaritas are always wonderful and they have a great selection of flavors and "strengths" as well.
They have live entertainment on the weekends. Because it is so busy you don't always get a choice as to wear to sit which means you'll end up by the musician at times when you don't want to be. And parking is sometimes difficult to find. But these are minor quibbles for a great place to eat and drink.
Trader Joe's is small and doesn't have a large variety of items or brands but what they do have is great. I love their prepared meals. I've yet to try anything that wasn't good. And they have a wonderful selection of seafood in their freezer section.
And I love that they were encouraging people to reuse grocery bags long before it was cool.
