I have 3 young children that were each delivered by these doctors. I think Dr. Henao is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors around. She is young and up-to-date on all the current and new procedures. I know they have hundreds of patients but she cried after my twins were born and made you feel like I was her only patient. I got excellent care throughout each pregnancy. Now that I'm no longer pregnant, however, I feel like annual exams are pushed aside. I had to wait 4 months for an appointment with Dr. Henao. I think its worth it though...
We were the third people in our family to hire Pacific Kitchens to do a full cabinet and counter remodel. Their prices are very good compared to others in town. The job was completed in under a week and the installer was very friendly and was there right on time each morning and worked hard all day long. We have a beautiful kitchen to show for it and had a good experience.
This meat market in Chula Vista can have up to an hour wait on the weekends because their marinated carne asada is unbelievable. You buy it raw, but it is fully marinated and cut into strips ready to throw on the barbecue. We've found that it is best to buy the meat 2-3 days before so it has time to marinate longer and really lock in the flavor. We get so many compliments at parties because everyone raves on the taste of this meat.
This salon is tucked inside a strip mall on Torrey Pines Rd. It only has 4 chairs, but is cool, modern and has a very classy feel to it. The owner is young and hip, but is a great stylist. It is right next to Come on In bakery, so go early, grab a muffin and a mocha and enjoy a bit of La Jolla pampering.
This La Jolla salon is modern and trendy but without any of the attitude. You really feel like you've stepped into 90201 or something. My hairdresser is amazing and she says they only hire the best stylists around. They are always on top of all the new styles and really make you comfortable during your appointment.
This has to be the best and most beautiful spa in town. It is in the heart of La Jolla, right above the coves. When you check in for your appointment, you are greeted with a citrus or cucumber ice water and taken to this serene relaxation room. The rooms are beautiful and have a great smell with relaxing music. It is very quiet and all about peace. I left there feeling amazing after a massage and facial. Can't wait to go back.
Rice is the perfect place to meet someone for lunch. Its trendy and cool, inside the new W hotel, but still has really good, reasonable food. The staff is eager to help. Try their truffle fries, they're amazing!
My co-workers just suggested this place as the best Philly cheese steaks around. Wow, they weren't kidding! The sandwiches are amazing. The one with steak and cheese whiz is the best cheese steak I've ever had. They're a little pricey - sandwich, fries and a drink run about $10-$12, but very tasty.
It's not right in the heart of downtown and from the outside, doesn't look very appealing. But the food is great and the staff is very friendly. The food is reasonable and you definitely won't leave hungry.
I was thrilled to find a party place in central San Diego that did characters for children's parties. Last year we had "Ariel" come down all the way from Temecula. When I called and made the booking the owner was super friendly and professional. So we hired "Sleeping Beauty" to come to by daughter's 5th birthday this year. It was $185 for 1 hour! We only booked her for 1 hour and she showed up 15 minutes late. She was barely dressed and did her makeup in her car in front of our house. She asked me the time about 3 times within the next 45 minutes. The kids loved it, but I was very disappointed.
