This is a very upscale tasting of coffees as they combine the use of bittersweet chocolate and coffee. They offer some pastries as well and the shop is loaded with various types of chocolates from around the world. Drinking their mocha has 2 effects. First, it is a richer taste than a Peet's and second the kick you get from one shot is like having 2 shots anywhere else. They have free wireless and seating that is comfortable if you are hanging out with friends or working. I was mildly disappointed that they change their opening hours to later as I used to come early to start work remotely and sip on a mocha. I have seen several others who try to stop and get their coffee and run, but alas, they are closed.
Ono Sushi is in the Hilcrest district in San Diego and it is a great place to have some interesting sushi. The flavors are wonderful and you can easily order too much because everything looks so tasty. I never miss an opportunity to eat there when I visit San Diego.
If you want fresh pasta, a variety of dishes to choose from, and a plethora of sauces, then Great Impasta should be on your list of places to visit. They also have take out that can be cooked when you get home. Only thing that can be difficult is the seating. It is a small place with not a lot of seating. The seating that is there can be cramped and you have to negotiate around other customers to got get your food when it is ready. Furthermore, the furniture is very uncomfortable...wooden, log cabin, furniture that is not easy on the body. There is seating outside, but that is only good when the weather is nicer...but then you get flies. Best option is take it to go.
