Doyle Hayes Tire Service always has the lowest prices around. If by chance someone else has lower prices, they will not just match the competitor's price, they will beat it. I recently purchased three new tires and, after shopping around, no one could compete with Doyle Hayes. They worked with my schedule and made sure I was completely satisfied. I would highly recommend them.
Brumlow Home manufactures washable rugs for various companies. The quality is always high and the various designs are always compatible with current trends. The staff is friendly and always willing to answer any questions and help out in any way.
Georgia Bank & Trust has been around Calhoun for as long as I can remember. Whether going through the drive-thru or going inside the offices (for an easy transaction, to set up an account, or to apply for a loan), they have excellent customer service and are always willing to help, whenever possible. GB&T is a hometown bank with familiar faces.
I co-coordinated a wedding at the Swan House and was completely blown away by the beauty. The Swan House is an elegant, classic mansion built in the early 1900's; it is nestled in beautiful Buckhead. Until that particular wedding, I had no idea that the house existed. All-in-all, the property is truly breathtaking.
Sips n Strokes is so much fun, I don't even know where to begin. It's the perfect place for a girls night out. Bring your favorite beverage and learn how to paint a masterpiece, step-by-step. And the best part- you get to take home your work at the end of the evening. Every night they teach a different painting, and instructors vary. It's such an enjoyable experience; I can't wait to go again and learn to paint another piece of art.
I went to Proctor Chiropractic a couple of years ago, with pain in my lower back. After a several visits, I left with jaw problems (he said that my jaw was "out of line" and that he would "correct" it, even though I had never had problems before... now my jaw pops out of place all the time) and the same back pain that I started with. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn't recommend them.
Keith does a good job with senior portraits. I have also heard many great stories from family friends with kids, but personally speaking, his senior portraits are good. He does a good job with settings, but could really use a few more sets. Since Calhoun is a small town, it's pretty easy to see a photo and know whether or not Keith was the photographer (could be a good thing or could be bad... not so fun if everyone else has your same photo).
The Yarn Center is a great place to go for Christmas decorations and ideas. They have a large selection of ribbons (most are reasonably priced) and lots of cute filler pieces. I shop here for decorations for my "themed" trees and usually have success finding unique pieces to tie in with other ideas.
The instructors at Barney Fletcher seemed to be very knowledgeable on the material. Although there was a lot of material to sift through, in a short amount of time, I thought they did a great job relaying the important facts and skipping the irrelevant material. They did a great job preparing me for my state board exam.
Handsel Company is a great place to go for Christmas decorations and ribbon. They have recently expanded and have small vendors set up throughout the store. These vendors have very unique, sometimes homemade, items. I recently got some great jewelry that was made from blown glass. Very cute, very unique, assurance that no one else has the same piece/item.
