Me and my friend purchased 6 chairs from Ikea Burbank last 5/04/09. When we got home, the chairs were not as sturdy as we've expected so we tried to return them. Unfortunately, I lost the receipt. Still I tried to ask the people at the Returns/Exchange. They said there's no way that I can even exchange the items without the original receipt. Logically speaking, the stickers (item description) at the bottom of each chair are still there. In some stores (e.g. Biglots) I have experienced returning an item even without a receipt because they know from scanning the item that the item was from them. Ikea people said they don't have that system. So I went back home, went online and printed out the transaction from Ikea, I called the Ikea Customer Service and asked if the printed online transaction may do. Apparently not. I was so upset. How could such a "huge business" wouldn't have a system like the smaller Biglots? I even bought items which costs me to a close $1.300. I have been buying from this store. Just a little consideration please for such a small matter.
