Cycle Salvage is a great bike junkyard. They have a very extensive collection of bikes and parts. Whether you're looking for some fairing pieces or an engine, some parts or accessories, this is a great place to go to avoid the retail prices for brand new parts.
The employees are riders as well, and have a great working knowledge of the inventory. The disadvantage is that the inventory is very fluid, and they never know how long something will be there, or when they will get something specific in stock.
It's also a great place to just wander around during a lunch hour!
We have used House of Bagels several times for our Friday breakfasts. They have wonderful bagels, whether you like them plain, lightly flavored, or spicy jalapeno bagels.
I prefer the everything bagel with all of the seeds and nuts, but the jalapeno is a very close second. My daughters really like the plain and the chocolate chip!
They are freshly made and very moist. i would recommend them for your home or office as well.
Several years ago, our plumbing kept backing up. We had the pipes snaked out several times in less than a year. The last time, he showed us a section of our drain lines. The old steel pipes were almost completely blocked. We called Newhall Plumbing, and Al came out and quoted us on a re-pipe with copper feed lines and plastic drain lines.
After calling a couple of other places to check out the price, we decided to stick with Newhall. They were very clean, and had the whole job done in a week.
That was 7 years ago, and except for a sewer cap that came off a year later, we have had no problems at all with the new piping. Since they also do new construction, I would say that you could call Newhall for any of your plumbing needs.
We went to Laser Quest for my nephew's bday party, and I was only going to watch, but after the briefing, I decided I should play too.The facility is a great maze of corridors and levels, dimly lit with a trace of fog everywhere. The first session was a learning curve, and the second was WAY more fun. I even used my 4 year old as bait so I could take out the other kids... I know, huh? We had a great time, and would very seriously consider doing it again, even for an adult birthday.
Our softball league purchased some lawn care products from Turf & Industrial Supply (mower attachment and field groomer) to maintain our fields. I was impressed with the knowledge of their salesman, and would happily recommend them, even to the average home owner.
They understood what we needed, and even talked us into a less expensive unit that was more in line with our needs than what I was originally looking for.
Guaranteed Muffler & Brake performed a custom exhaust installation on my cousin's Mustang, so I went to them on his recommendation. These guys were terrific. Over the last 8 years they have installed a Flowmaster setups and brakes on my last three trucks, and have done some front end work on my wife's SUV as well.
I highly recommend them for any auto repair requirement, from basic tune-up, fluid exchange / replacement, suspension / steering repair / and obviously exhaust and brake work too.
There isn't a lot of parking in their lot, so arrive early if you can. They have a couple tv's in the waiting room, complete with some movies for the kids. They are usually very busy though, so plan on leaving your car if you can.
I bought my Durango in Northern Ca, but when it started having problems, I took it to Hartzheim Dodge on Capital Expwy. They were able to diagnose a simple sensor failure that another shop did not find, and they replaced it that day under warranty. I have brought it back to them several times over the last couple years, and even though I didn't buy it there they are always pleasant and happy to help.
They have a great selection of new and used cars and trucks as well, so I would recommend coming here for your next Dodge or Chrysler purchase.
Honestly I found this office in the phone book, but boy am I glad I did. I went to Dr Coe & the Silicon Valley Spinal Institute because I have suffered chronic (sometimes debilitating) back pain for the last couple of years. He took an MRI of the spine and discovered a compressed disc and some impacted nerves. After a second opinion which confirmed the diagnosis, we scheduled the surgery. It went beautifully, and after 6 weeks I was up and moving around just fine. After a couple of months, I am now mostly pain free. I can't say enough about the professional care they took of me, and I have to thank them for giving me my life back.
We went to Bascom Trim to install the OEM interior in our '70 El Camino. They did a great job with the install: seat foam & covers, carpet kit, door panels and trim.
We got the car back on time, and on budget. They were unable to find the aftermarket seat belts that had removed, but that was a minor annoyance.
For "standard" upholstery installation, I would happily recommend them to my friends.
Sid and Co have been doing world class upholstery for decades, and have finished out some of the most prestigious hot rods in the country and the world.
He upholstered our '32 Ford in beautiful Italian leather and wood. Although our car will never compete with some of Sid's prior jobs, he gave us the same dedication and attention to detail that he gives the "million dollar" customers. He has fantastic vision, and added some features that I think really made a difference, and I can't thank him enough.
It takes a long time to get in here, and this isn't something that is finished in a week, but it's worth every penny! You won't be disappointed, and you can count on being surrounded by amazing cars while you're there. Never a dull moment at Sid's!
