Kite Flite is such a cute little store full of all kinds of kites! They can get really pricey, but it's a great place to purchase a good quality kite. They have a variety to choose from for beginners or experts. After you purchase your kite, go out on the grassy lawn right next to the bay. It's the perfect spot to fly your kite! :)
Sunny Donuts is just the typical local donut shop with a large selection of delicious donuts! The prices for a dozen is pretty good, and the workers are helpful and nice.
This is one of the "go-to" places when you're in need to quickly shop for alcohol. Prices are average, and there are other food areas/stores nearby as well.
B.H.Chung is a great place to get some good quality Korean BBQ. They have other food there as well, but none as good as the BBQ. Their sushi is a bit over-priced. The best thing to get is their Marinated Pork BBQ. It's only about 10 dollars during lunch, and 13 dollars for dinner and it comes with a bunch of sides like kimchi, cucumbers, etc.
Archway is a local bar that people go to just hang out. Drinks are inexpensive. The location is kind of odd. They have about 3-4 pool tables. The staff is really chill and nice. It's just a great place to get a few drinks in after a long day at work.
True North is a nice place to hang out and chill, especially after a long day at work. Drinks are average priced, and the bar is right in the center of the building so there's plenty of space around the bar to squeeze in. The dance floor is a bit small. There's a lot of seating area, and the overall place is just really chill. They also have an outside patio place to chill and get some fresh air.
If you're into hip hop, this place is one of the places you might want to check out. Drinks are really cheap compared to downtown (maybe 5 bucks a drink). The crowd is more of the 21-25 crowd. The place gets really packed, and with that comes that sweaty feeling. It gets really stuffed in there. They have a pool table, which I think is in the way of people trying to dance.
Red Circle is a chill place to hang out. I was surprised that this place was open on a Wednesday. The dance floor is really small, and there's only 1 bar, but if you're looking for something that's just chill, go here on a weekday.
JNC Foodmart is located right across Southwestern College, so if you're craving some Filipino food after a long day of classes, try this place out. Their food is pretty good, and this used to be the only Filipino place down in this area until Lutong Bahay opened up nearby as well.
Casual Time is just another normal girl store in San Diego. Their prices are pretty good, but I don't think their material is as good as other stores. You should check this place out if you need simple things like tank tops, or plain shirts.
