Yokohama Sushi
Good variety of California sushi. Big menu with lots of cooked dishes as well as sushi. The yellowtail jalapeno sashimi was a tasty appetizer but the spicy tuna salad and beef yakisoba, both were too sweet for our taste. The sushi seems to be the best bet here. Most dishes were from $8-$14.
Yogi's Teriyaki
Good Teriyaki bowls and plates. Tempura dinners too. Basic fare, nothing outstanding but good for a fast meal at a reasonable price. You can feed four for less than $30.00.
Hiko Sushi
Traditional sushi only! This is a serious sushi chef who doesn't mess around. You will not find combination dinners or California rolls here. Mom and pop run. High quality and price.
Champagne French Bakery
Champagne French Bakery Cafe is a neighborhood gem. Great for breakfast or lunch. Delicious pastries, quiches, and sandwiches on french bread. Decent parking, good value for money but on the higher side.
Planetbravo
We actually attended the summer camp at Crossroads in Santa Monica. This was an excellent computer camp. The teachers were all wonderful and the kids loved every minute! My boys took the Gaming class which used Torque Builder. The same program college students use. Many topics to choose from. My boys will be back! Half the price of some other computer camps and an even better experience!
Baja Bud's
I love the Vegetarian burrito here and the mango iced tea. Everything is freshly made each day and made to order. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, always delicious.
U-Zen Japanese Restaurant
Good basic Japanese restaurant. Has a little bit of everything and decent prices. If you are a sushi lover or want cooked fare you will find something you will enjoy here.
Boulevard Music
This is the best place to rent or take lessons. Large selection of instruments to rent or buy. Knowledgeable and interested staff. Very helpful.
Instructors will come to you.
Polaris Gakuin
Polaris Gakuin is a private Japanese Language school that has high quality teachers and small class size. Students are taught with high interest lessons. After attending the Japanese immersion school in Culver City my son wanted to continue his Japanese and now attends Polaris on Saturdays. He is nearly fluent now. Reasonably priced.
West LA Kendo
Kendo, the way of the sword, is a traditional Japanese martial art. All instructors are volunteers and are passing on this time honored sport. Very reasonably priced for lessons, although equipment can get expensive. Training is strenuous but all ages participate.
