Mia Nails
Mia Nails is a complete hole-in-the-wall strip mall location that does not look like much on the outside. However, inside it is filled with nice beauty stations and friendly women ready to do your nails for $20. Nothing overly amazing, but the standard massage chair, read a magazine while you get a pedicure situation. Definitely worth the $20.
Riverview Tavern
Good bar food, including a nice salad selection. The reuben is awesome, and you can get sandwiches with tater tots, which is always a plus. Not fantastic drink specials, but fun atmosphere - the have a game night on Tuesdays. Waitstaff was friendly.
Elvia Solis - State Farm Insurance Agent
It is so nice to be able to walk in to see your insurance agent face-to-face. They are extremely hospitable and helpful. When my car got rear-ended, I stopped by to get their advice on what I should do to cover my bases, and they helped me in every way possible.
Nora Iii, Ernest, Md - Garcia Medical
I have been a patient of Dr. Nora for years now, and will remain so for years to come. He is so friendly and puts you right at ease. He also takes the time to make sure you understand everything - it never seems as though he has somewhere more important to be and you are just a name on his list. He is absolutely wonderful.
The Boss Bar
Boss bar is ok. They are open til 4 (5 on Saturdays) and have a decent late-night menu. However, with a million other bars in the neighborhood, it would not be my first choice, even after hours as there are better options nearby. Seating is almost nonexistant, maneuvering is impossible, and service does not make up for it.
Sullivan's Steakhouse
Great steaks, great atmosphere, great service. We were treated extremely well from start to finish. They had an excellent wine selection, and as if we actually needed it, great dessert to top everything off. If you are looking for a great steakhouse, look no further.
10Pin Bowling Lounge
Upscale and cool, though a bit pricey. It's pretty cool to see music videos playing at the end of the lanes. Bartender MIke is great, and the bar menu is surprisingly good for a bowling alley. A good time if you've got some $$ to spend.
Theory Sports Bar And Grill
Absolutely, yes! Great upscale (but not pretentious) atmosphere. Nice, friendly, efficient, and good-looking bartenders. Great variety on the menu - the salads are really good, as are the sliders. Half price appetizers during happy hour every day. You can see multiple games on the tv from any seat in the place. Great all around.
Tabou Tabou
Hmmm, where to start. Taboo Tabou is great for bachelorette party gifts. Great for naughty bridal shower gifts. Great for make-up-with-your-boyfriend gifts. Great for significant other birthday gifts (you know, in addition to the serious gift.) It's a must see.
Hollywood Mirror
Love it love it love it! They have the most random stuff in the window, from 60s furniture to faux fur covered telephones to mannequins covered in everything you could never imagine. Great for costumes, vintage coats and gifts. Whether I found what I was specifically looking for or not, I always find something fantastic.
