Was pleasantly surprised by Delilah's. I am not normally a whiskey girl or a pink rocker, however somehow the two together made the whole experience awesome. If you are a whiskey drinker, Delilah's is absolutely your place. They have every whiskey imaginable.
There are two reasons to go to Sidetracks. First and foremost, you go for musical theater Monday. They play movie showtunes and Tony award performances all night long, and every person in the bar sings along and shouts at the screens. It's a unique experience that everyone must have at some point. The second reason is the frozen drinks. It's what you get there, and that's that.
Surprisingly fun for a dance club. I think I would have enjoyed it more during the week when it wasn't bursting with pretentiousness. However, the music was good, the dance floor was great, the service was surprisingly efficient considering the numbers.
If you want every beer ever made that comes in a can, then Cans is your place. Nice pool table, cheesy video games (like Bowling) and good wings. I recall having to go to the bar for drinks because our server was completely MIA. Not terrible, but there are a million bars in the area.
Absolutely amazing food! You feel like you are entering a lodge, very cozy and warm. The menu absolutely complements the weather at all times, and wine list to match. We have always had a great experience here.
I was there for a friend's birthday party, and the bar took such great care of us. The wristband special was amazing - $2 domestics, wine, and well anything. I have also been there for their Live Game Show, which is just ridiculous and awesome.
I've been here twice, and twice it's been okay. They have a nice dinner selection, but the service was nothing amazing, and they actually have a table directly under a vent that leaks. On a positive note, their desserts are amazing.
The new karaoke system is great, and Erin is a brilliant host (ask her to sing Heartbreaker. Trust me.) The liquor selection is not amazing, but they have really cheap beer specials. If karaoke's your thing, Louie's is a good place to go. Oh, and random - free popcorn.
Brehon's is a nice Irish pub - not to be cliche, but try the Shepherd's Pie. It's really good. It's also a big place, so even on weekends, it's not overwhelming, and the service is still good.
The only reason to go to Bar Chicago is if you are going dancing with the girls. Huge dance floor, music that will make your ears bleed. Again, if you are there to dance, it's a good time. Drinks are expensive, but I reiterate, it's a great bar for dancing.
