I love this liquor store! Small, but the selection is excellent. I like the attention to detail from the staff, they took the price tag off our bottle of champagne after we purchased it.
Paper Trail
I love looking around this place. They have unique cards and gifts, as well as paper and other related accesories. I guess the only thing I can say wrong about this place is that I haven't ever purchased anything...
In Fine Spirits
My husband and I went here for the New Years Eve party last year, and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was fun, they had great drink selections, good wine recommendations. Price was decent too, especially on such a typically expensive holiday!
Leona's Restaurant
Went here for a quick bite before a performance, and I was very surprised by the selection on their menu. I'll admit, I got a burger, but it was excellent. And so was my friend's salad, and my husband's pasta. The bread board...mmm.
Lou Conte Dance Studio
First, it's not a ten minute walk! More like 3 minutes if you are getting off at the right stop. I think the location is excellent--the blue line is always running! Anways, the instructors here are absolutely world class. I have taken from so many people that I respect and look up to. By far the best studio in Chicago.
Johnny Sprockets
I was in this place for ten minutes, and no one asked me if I needed any help...the place was empty. I asked if they had anything for under $500, and they said no. They carry no used bikes, and are basically bike snobs. Head to Uptown Bikes for real service.
Uncommon Ground
I took some friends here and was not disappointed--it is as good as they say. Inventive flavors, just really yummy food. I had white sangria, sweet potato fries with melted goat cheese, and a nicely seasoned piece of lamb (that I'll admit, was a bit overcooked...but still very tasty.) We were sat in the music room, so it got too loud for conversation, but still a nice concept.
Tedino's Pizzeria & Restaurant
It's your standard Italian fast food restaurant, but the quality of food leaves much to be desired. Poor ingredients, steak sandwich was chewy, pizza cheese felt grainy...just not a good experience. Was let down by the promise of New York-style pizza.
The Bark Bark Club
Very friendly, quick service. Knew who I was when I got there, and they have a lot of regualrs that they know by name. So nice that they had treats out for the pets. They have competitive prices...not the lowest, but not most pricey.
Pressure Billiards & Cafe
Nice to go to a pool hall that doesn't smell like smoke, and doesn't serve alcohol. Tables are clean, friendly staff. I absolutely recommend this pool hall.
