This cafe is great for veggies and their veggie loving friends. Amazing fresh and local food. Fun to sit with the books all around you and enjoy the delicious goodies. I will always remember the awesome grilled mozzarella cheese sandwich and chunky homemade tomato soup on an autumn day...sigh.
Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. I took my old bike here for a tune up and my husband bought a brand new bike too. Comfortable, no one is intimidating.
Exactly what you would expect for Middle Eastern fast food, but really really good. The falafel pita is my standard order. Definitely a good choice if you're a student: they offer combos and are close to campus.
I can't say I've had authentic Korean food before, but I really enjoyed my experience at Jin Ju. The food was spicy but incredibly yummy. Nice selection of martinis and cocktails. I'm also a sucker for decor, and really enjoyed the exposed brick, loft-like feel here.
I think they got the atmosphere exactly right at Kopi...it feels like a coffee shop in Amsterdam. Very earthy and comfortable. Cool travel books and gift items in the shop. Come for the excellent coffee and tea selection, but try the food too. I've had nachos, yogurt parfait, pastries...it's all yummy. Just a nice place to recharge.
I too was at Frank's for a fundraiser, but I will definitely go back. I was such a comfortable place to hang out, and with my favorite selection of music--a little 80s and 90s, some good hiphop...Service was excellent too.
My husband and I first went to Pauline's in the dead of January, and it was definitely worth trudging through snow to get there. The diner is crowded and busy, which what makes it fun and authentic. The menu is extensive, I had an amazing plate of French toast with compote (which was also excellent leftover after putting it in the freezer...) Service was good, the owner or manager there was very friendly. Love the 50s feeling.
I went here after my friend, Rachel, recommended it--and now I can't get enough. Everything tastes so fresh, and you can get a savory crepe and a cup of soup for $10. Great dessert crepes, and the fruit salad is definitely recommended. They have lots of cute touches, from fresh mint in your water to the paper cocktail umbrella on the fruit salad and the beautiful tea set if you order tea...it's just an amazing experience. I will admit that the servers are a little timid, but it's nice that they aren't over-the-top. Love this place. Also good for people watching on the corner of Clark and Foster.
My husband and I have been to Big Jones several times for dinner and have yet to be disappointed. The food is just excellent--I have had the catfish and the shrimp and grits, and they tasted just like home (northern FL), if not better. Also, love their sweet tea selection, I had lavender sweet tea, mmmm. The service isn't stellar, but it's worth visiting if you want a different dinner in Andersonville.
I love shopping here for my dog and cat. They carry major brands, such as Science Diet, and even though it isn't a large store a la Petsmart, they have great selection. Plus, the employees usually have their animals hanging out there behind the counter! Prices aren't the cheapest around, but it's worth the price to support local business.
