Garden of Eating is a nice, quick place to go for lunch if you want a sandwich, soup, or salad. They have daily specials that include a drink for under $7. The portions are huge and they also offer half sizes for many of their salads and sandwiches. The staff is friendly and they make everything in front of you.

Buttercake Bakery

Nice variety of cupcakes. I like their bite-size red velvet cupcakes. They are moist and just big enough for that little craving. Their prices are decent and they are very nice. I have ordered from them for work parties. Check out their website for their prices.

Reddi Chick Bbq

The prices are decent here for what you get. I like their baked potatoes since they have numerous toppings for them and their bbq chicken is good-I always ask for extra sauce. The fried food is pretty good too. They only take cash so make sure you come prepared. The place is cute with outdoor seating and the service is pretty fast.

Ulta Beauty

Great place to go if you want all your fun beauty products in one place. They have items ranging from make-up to flat irons and even hair dye. It's a fun store that's bright and open. There is a salon on site that has reasonable prices on their services. They also have great coupons through their mailer and on-line. If you are in the mood to browse around for your favorite beauty products, this is the place to go. And if you still can't find what you are looking for, Target is right next door in the same shopping center.

Wachs Leslie Od - Los Angeles Vision Ctr

If you are in search of a friendly staff and an eye doctor that is honest, this is the place to go. Dr. Wachs tells it like it is and if he doesn't think something is necessary, he doesn't make you waste your time and money. They take VSP so it's great if you have that insurance. I can always get an appointment right away and if you have an emergency you can walk in during their business hours.

Loren D. Rench, DDS

I have been coming here for over 5 years now and even after I moved I will not change my dentist. The entire staff is friendly, professional and caring. The whole place is clean and has the latest and greatest in dental technology. This place gets your teeth clean! They still use the hand method which ensures getting everything out from between your teeth and leaves them shiny and bright. The hygienists don't try and rush you out of there, they make sure your cleaning is thorough. Dr. Rench is a perfectionist and makes sure no matter what procedure you have there, that it comes out perfect and with as little pain as possible. I found them on 1-800-Dentist and it was the best recommendation I could ask for.

Diddy Riese Cookies

Great deal on everything in this entire place! The menu consists of cookies, brownies, ice cream, hot dogs and now hawaiian ice. Their cookies are 3 for $1 and ice cream is only $1 a scoop as well. Best deal in town for dessert. It is in the middle of westwood so the line can get long. The line moves fast however so make sure you know what you want by the time you get to the register. They are open late midnight on weekdays and til 1am on weekends.

The OP Cafe

Great breakfast deal if you go before 9am on weekdays. They have omlette specials and egg specials starting at $3.99 before 9am. After that time I think it's only $2 or $3 more. Tiny place, so you might have to wait if is crowded. But if you go early there isn't usually a line.

Wokcano Asian Rstrnt & Lounge

If you are in the mood for a variety of american-asian dishes with a trendy decor, this is the place to go. They have everything from sushi, to noodles and main courses. Their calamari appetizer and dipping sauce is always a great starter. This Santa Monica location has an awesome patio and is home to a great happy hour. Would highly recommend it for a date or an after-work drink place with your friends.

The Local Place

This is a smaller, cafe version of the kings hawaiian restaurant. They open at 7am and serve delicious breakfast options for cheap. You can get anything from breakfast sandwiches to pancakes and french toast. The french toast tastes like their signature king's hawaiian bread and melts in your mouth. For lunch and/or dinner you can also get boxed specials, fried chicken and bowls. They also sell whole and individual cake slices. They have a danish/donut/muffin section if you don't want to make the trip to the actual restaurant. The local place is right off of the 405 freeway so it makes it easy to get to and get back on.
