must try the crantucket ice-cream! it's vanilla with chocolate covered cranberries mixed in and very unique to nantucket! i love going here after dinner, but be warned: it's packed with teenage hooligans loitering around on the weekends during the summer. expect long lines and a lot of rolling eyes when you ask where the line ends.
I've been here about 5 times now, and every time I really enjoy it! It's tapas style, you need to order at least 2 different things off the menu. Start there then order more as you need it. If you're going on a date for 2, request the lounge area where there's almost sofas instead of seats. Really great/romantic atmosphere. Try the filet and lamb chops! Those were my favorite. Warning: it's not close to town, only make reservations if you have a car or want to take a taxi.
When I was in Nantucket over Labor Day this year, I went to Lola 41 -- it's a bit off from the center of town, but not far enough where you can't walk. The atmosphere is great & food was great, but beware: I had a party of 6 and they stuck me at a table that should really only fit 4 comfortably. Also, they try to sell the dishes as if they're small, but I got a fish entree with sushi and couldn't finish it all, it was too much food. My tip? Order as you go until you're full instead of all at once.
I've been here 3 times now, and every time I'm impressed. This is a hip/trendy restaurant, decorated beautifully. I have yet to have a meal I didn't like -- I usually get some kind of fish and it's always fresh & cooked to perfection! Must try the sake at a place like this.
I hear so much great things about the donuts here, but I just wasn't too impressed. They are average sugar donuts and they are on the smaller side. Don't know what all the fuss is about.
I went to a really nice dinner here. The food was suburb and the waiter was really attentive. Try the chocolate martini for desert, you won't regret it!
This place used to be my favorite for sicilian pizza, but has since closed down... Now it's a Dolce Luna which is not as good in my book. Come back Joseph's!
Menu is so tantilizing that I actually ordered every single desert item off the menu, I couldn't pick. And I had no compliants! One more the more pricey restaurants in town, though.
I really enjoyed having a drink here -- the atmosphere is more casual & the look of the place is worth checking out. Definitely want to come back to try the food!
Just discovered this place over the summer. It's a drive outside of town, but it's worth it for a quick lunch. Go on a nice day to eat outside -- and be careful, a full sandwich is HUGE. Prices are more than reasonable for being a local deli in Nantucket.
