Beware of this school. The teachers are not well educated. The Director is literally non existent. It is not uncommon for children to be left with bare minimum aides while the teachers are missing. There is no outdoor area other than a concrete yard similar to a prison yard. The center is not clean and accidents are common.
It's worth it! This is great thin crust artisan pizza that I thought I could only find in North Beach. Ask for a little tub of pesto on the side and it is a great dipping sauce!
I could just picture him riding in a convertible like those old "I'm the credit man" commercials from back in the day! Don's is efficient and keeps good records, they have all the key codes logged just in case. The price is great and the location is convenient.
They offer fresh organic produce, great wine and beer selection and tons of organic groceries that would require some traveling about the city to get. The staff is sweet too!
I was intrigued by trying Quinoa for the first time there and began cooking it at home. I thought it was interesting that cheese could be made out of nuts, but after I read the Chronicle article, I choose not to go there any more. Plus it is super expensive
It's so sad because I really wanted a store that was better than Safeway, I wanted to move away from the big box chain stores. But, the truth is that Delano's produce is not always fresh, the items in the deli case look a little old as well and it is not priced an better than the chain. I only go there for convenience or for the basics.
I can't stand sugary, fluffy, Americanized Chinese food! And this place is the cure for all that garbage out there. Hunan serves spicy, authentic, Hunan style food. There is no MSG or overly sugared or oiled sauces. I always order "cold noodles" which is not on the menu, but is a cold noodle salad with shredded chicken and peanut sauce. When I worked in the Financial District I would crave this at least once a week.
I hate it when I get terrible Chinese food because I feel like there is no excuse for it. If you are selling Chinese food in SF it just needs to be world class or close to it. The only thing that was good was the crab rangoon, but anything with imitation crab and cream cheese is good so, that's not saying much.
I don't even try to sew anymore, I simply pin where I want seems, talk with the owners about the alterations I want and I end up with expertly pressed and perfectly tailored clothing. I love that it's a family business and all the reviews on Yelp are just silly. If you are clear about what you want, they will do it no problem!
I noticed all these city vehicles, street cleaners, meter maids and cops would park outside of this place and leave with bag lunch or breakfast. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so, I ordered the "Big Breakfast" sandwich on a french roll with avocado. No I know what all the fuss was about and if I miss breakfast and want a quick brunch at work, I phone in an order, pick it up and get right back to work feeling good!
