I began seeing Brandon a year ago after having been in a car accident. I have found him to be very knowledgeable about massage, human anatomy, and the treatment of injuries. For my treatment he has used a variety of deep tissue and someThai massage techniques. He has also given me many helpful stretches to do at home to help improve my range of motion. He has been very helpful and supportive to me during my recovery process and I feel that he has contributed much to my healing. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a massage therapist.
Dave and his guys take really good care of me. The staff is knowlegable and competent. Here's the thing though... When I get my VW Beetle back, along with the bill, it always seems too low! Weird, huh?
Tired of being ripped off by the dealership? Take your VW here. You won't be sorry
This place is a hole in the wall tucked out of the way and it's easy to miss, but if you make an effort to find them you'll be rewarded delicious coffe with quirky character. When you're there... see if you can count all the monkeys hiding in the shop. They can be elusive. :)
Good coffee, priced inexpensively. Tastey sandwiches made to order. There's generally a staff of one, but they're rarely so busy that you have to wait very long.
This local neighborhood Thai restaurant has the most delicious cuinsine. My favorite is the spicey cashew chicken with it's hot peppers that spice up the plate. Enjoy a mango smoothie on the side. End your meal with a plate of their homemade coconut ice cream. Servings sizes are generous and the prices are quite reasonable. The staff is very friendly and always eager for your feedback. This is definately a favorite local family restaurant.
This place is just comfortable. It's the kind of place I could hang out for a long time, in their cozy chairs and free wi-fi. They also have outdoor seating and a firepit to encourage the outside in chillier weather. You look around and you see lots of people just hanging out enjoying the company of food, friends and conversation, making it an ideal place to hook-up with a friend over a coffee, in the middle of the day. My personal favorite is the 16 oz mocha with dark chocolate and whip cream. The sandwiches are delicious. The pastries are even better. Visit with an old friend and tell them you'll meet them at Ava's.
Here's what you need to know about Chennai Masala. The food is really, really good. But if you're looking for a cozy intimate dinner out... there is no ambiance here at all. This is why we always go there for take-out. I love the lamb so I usually order the lamb vindaloo. The sauce is savory on a bed of rice. Get a side of nan bread and a mango lassi to drink. Try the dosa as an appetizer for sharing. Life is good. :)
I just love the local, neighborhood, family restaurant. The food is wonderful and the service is always friendly and accomodating. The borritos and guacamole are fabulous! The servings are generous (I'm always taking half home with me). The prices are inexpensive. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. Do yourself a favor and give them a try for lunch or dinner.
This place is a clean, pleasant and friendly neighborhood bar. Paul runs the establishment and is always there. Enjoy a wide variety of beers or mixed spirits. The food is good; burgers & fries, chicken wings, ribs, chicken caesar salad... I've had them all and they're reliably yummy. Play a game of pool while you're waiting for your food. If you enjoy sports... there are about 7 or 8 TV screens playing at all times.
Tell Paul I said "Hi". :)
My child attends Swallowtail school and he absolutely loves it! This loving school environment cultivates intelligent and creative people with it's emphasis on literature, music, art, theatre, folklore, myth, and community. They teach young students that learning is fun, enriching, and rewarding as each student becomes immersed in each subject utilzing all 6 senses. If you want your child to learn to love learning, this is the place to go.
If you find yourself in that shopping / browsing mood on a rainy Beaverton afternoon... the Hot Box is a great place to wander into. They have all sorts of unusual and unexpected items including posters, jewelry, glass art, incense, and novelties. Make no mistake, it's a head shop, complete with tobacco products and glass pipes in the back. But it's also so much more. It's a destination and an experience.
