We've used the Olympia Flower Store whenever we needed to send floral arrangements out of state, usually for funerals. They're always easy to work with and provide high quality arrangements that are tasteful and reasonably priced.
Back Bay Yoga is a nice option for your yoga practice. They are conveniently located, have a really nice studio and have a variety of classes that I can usually fit one into my hectic schedule. I've even taken my husband before - he enjoys it as much as I do.
We've used the City Farm Florist and Nurseries for several of our renovations. Their flowers and plants are high quality. They provide a vast array of plant material as well as ground cover. Highly recommend.
Yoga in Harvard Square (Winds of Grace Yoga) has a wonderful instructer by the name of Portia who can transform people. She's taught my husband and I the proper way to stretch to relieve tension and stretch. She's wonderful and worth her weight in gold.
A friend took me to Yoga Moves to take a class on hot yoga. Whew! It was great - and I sweated like a pig, releasing all of the built up toxins I didn't know I had. Great class with a great instructor.
I've take then restorative class at the Yoga East Center. This class is the perfect antidote for someone who's on the beginner/drop in level who needs a refresher and a gentle, but restorative flow to their practice.
I know better, but still wanted to try out a class or two with Prana Power Yoga. I've never felt so out of shape in my life! The instructor did a great job, but my ego got the better of me and tried to take this advanced class. I was sore for several days afterwards.
My husband and I were fortunate enough to be included in a fundraiser for the Yoga Hope Inc. This worthwhile organization believes in bringing peace and harmony through yoga to the people who need it most - women in distress in prison or rehabilitation. I've seen the difference they make in people's lives and encourage everyone to take part in their mission.
I don't consider myself to be an expert by any means in my yoga practice and appreciate the teachers at Charlestown Yoga for their attention to detail. They're great with their students, always monitoring posture and proper form. I love taking Vinyasa Flow and they are among the best I've practiced with.
I bought my sister a gift certificate for a massage and facial. When she went to redeem it, she was asked for her credit card to secure her appointment. Thankfully, she knew better and told them that she had a gift certificate and would secure it with that. The supposed owner got on the phone and started yelling at her about her trying to scam them! My husband and I went down to the salon to complain and were basically told that regardless if you have a gift certificate, they demanded a credit card. We got nowhere with this unreasonable man and filed a report with the BBB.
