I'm an avid juicer who believes in the numerous health benefits of fresh juice. Beverly Hills juice is the place to go if you want fresh juice but don't own a juicer. The Triple Shot Ginger is made fresh and bottled everyday and the owner can make just about anything you want. They also have a wheatgrass press for those of you that love it. If you think you're getting sick, a trip to Beverly Hills juice will have you better in no time flat. They also make really great shakes that are delicious and good for you. No dairy, no sugar and no bad additives. They only take cash or checks...no credit or debit cards ever under any circumstances. One more thing, this is not a place to sit and enjoy. You order, pay and leave! No seating whatsoevever.
I found out about Vivians on a breakfast date. To think that this place had been in my neighborhood, literally up the street from my gym and I never knew about it until that date. Its a very small space, very small interior space that serves delicious breakfast food and lunch. I've only gone for breakfast and its always good. I'm not a pancakenista but I love their pancakes. They make a whole grain one that's really good. Omelets are great and they switch up and accomodate whatever you want. They also have a delicious chicken sausage for us non-pork/red meat eaters. The only drawback is its very, very small but they do offer outside seating. Oh and they close at 3pm daily so hustle on over if you want to be fed.
Anat B is the place to shop if you want to look like you spent a lot of money but didn't. Gorgeous dresses, beautiful blouse and sexy skirts. They carry everything except shoes and undergarments. I own several dresses from Anat B that make people ask, "Girl, where did you get that? Its cute!" Great store!
I went to Bamboo for a colleague's birthday party and we had a good time in the back room. Very private and great service. This place is the second best place in LA to find NY style Chinese food. Large portions and budget friendly. Enjoy!
The all white interior of Cafeteria is very inviting. I love the fact that they stay open really really late...My favorite dish is their truffled macaroni and cheese. Delish!
I love Sushi Dan. They have a long list of very unique rolls that are delicious. I always sit at the Sushi bar and order one roll after the next. Parking is a mess. If you find a spot on the street, grab it otherwise you will find yourself circling the lot at least 3x like I did.
Pieces is a great store. I met Latisha the owner at a street festival selling the most unique pieces long before she and her hubby Colin opened the store. They've now become friends of mine and I always stop in to visit when I'm in NY.
Its a great place to shop if you never want to see a duplicate of what you're wearing. I have at least 3 very cute tops from Pieces that I've never seen anyone in...The drawback to Pieces for me is the prices. I only shop on the sale rack because I'm not interested in paying $200 for a T-shirt just to be the only one wearing it.
Lots of great conversations happen in Pieces and lots of unique people shop at Pieces. Check it out for yourself and be sure to check out the sales rack and bins. Lots of great deals!
I'm a huge fan of Mexican food and the lobster quesadilla here is delicious. The place could use a little bit more light...its too dark. Park on the street...valet parking is a mess.
I love the seared salmon and variety of hand rolls at Iroha and the service is great. Its hard to find because its tucked away in a corner...I drove by it like 3 times before I found it. Valet parking is a mess...park on the street.
Risotto serves up great Italian food at reasonable prices. I love it that they let you bring your own wine in and you pay a nominal corking fee. Great!
