I shop at Target all the time and even own stock in Target. I have never had any problem with anything that I have bought there and they have always stood behind their product, until now. In April, 2009 I paid $400 for a pair of glasses. My previous pair was scratched (after only one year) and Target Optical technician told me how to care for my new pair and I followed the instructions faithfully. Now, after only six months, the new glasses are so cloudy I cannot see well with them and have had to revert to my old scratched pair. I have spoken to the Target Optical technician and manager and have called the Dist Mgr, but so far she has not found me important enough to return my phone call. I feel that I have been sold an inferior product and it should be replaced free of charge. I have had the store policy explained to me, but the fact remains that I have an inferior product and I would expect Target to stand behind it and make it good. When you pay $400 for something and care for them properly they should last longer than six months. This is totally unacceptable.
I bought glasses from Target Optical in April..had to because my 1 yr old glasses were too scratched. After six months and faithfully following their instructions on care the new glasses are so cloudy (they say the coating is peeling) I have had to go back to my previous scratched pair. I did not buy them from the Shreveport store, but I can't find anyplace else to voice my complaint. I have been to the store and called their Dist Mgr and they do not seem to care that they have sold me an inferior product and they refuse to stand behind it. I paid $400 for these glasses and it seems to be they should last longer than six months when i took care of them as directed by Target Optical. Shame on them...the Target Optical that I went to is in Bakersfield, CA
