Farm Bakery & Cafe
The Farm is a great place to grab food, but I go there for the deserts, especially the lemon bars, brownies and fruit tarts. We love their deserts so much we had these as an alternative to wedding cake at our wedding.
Bittersweet Events
Bittersweet Express is the 'to go' side of Bittersweet Bistro, but they do have tables for you to enjoy your food and drink there. Highly recommend the breakfast burritos which they panini press. They have great coffee and have delicious salads and sandwiches too.
Louie's Pub
Louie's Pub (formally known as Monty's Pub) is a great place to get beer on campus at SDSU. There is not much to it, but they have the basics on tap, and you can drink on the enclosed patio as well as inside, so it is a great place to waste some time in the sun. This is an "after finals" must!!!
Portugalia
Portugalia has good authentic Portuguese food and plenty of entertainment. The do have a limited selection of drinks (Portuguese wine and beer which can be an acquired taste!)
Men's Fashion Depot
Men's Fashion Depot is a warehouse of good stuff for guys! While there is some crap here, and it is kind of like a Ross for suits, there are some really nice suits available for a great price. My husband got outfitted with two nice suits (complete with shirts) for under $500. The salesmen are super friendly and know exactly where everything is, which is very impressive in this very big store! They have all the shirts, ties, socks and other stuff you would need to go with your new suit too so it really is a one stop shop.
Lola Luna Inc
Lola Luna has really cute trendy girl??s clothes, but doesn't have the widest selection though. Pretty good shoe selection in front and cute outfit ideas on the mannequins in the windows.
South Coast Surf Shop
South Coast's main shop has a really good selection, but like any beach surf shop can be a little on the pricey side. They have stuff for guys and girls who actually surf, but have all the popular brands of clothes, shoes, sunglasses, and bathing suits for those who just want to look cool!
Palm Deli
Palm deli is where the Lil Piggy's used to be, and is totally worth checking out! They have cleaned it up after taking over the space, and offer amazing breakfast and lunch options. The also have a limited selection of beers and wine and other soft drinks. I highly recommend trying the breakfast burritos that they finish off with the panini press!
The Mediterranean Club
Wow, the Mediterranean puts the dive in dive bar, but it is a great place to go for a beer if you want a blast from the (early 1980s) past! Drinks are strong and cheap so it is a great place to grab a quick drink, especially is you are waiting for a table at Manuel's, but they do tend to allow smoking in there so it stinks a bit. Totally worth checking out!
Leather Magic
Leather Magic does a really great job of fixing all kinds of shoe problems! I've had sandals and regular shoes resoled, buckles reattached, and high heels fixed. The prices have always been very reasonable and the turn around service is great. Would highly recommend! They are right in the Vons shopping center.
