Joe's is a great local coffee joint and the only one thats in walking distance in this neighboorhood. Good coffee and good service, give it a try!
Mountain High Bed & Breakfast & Observatory
Cute and cozy place to get away from town. Mountain High is ideal because it is close to Julian, but is far enough away that you feel like you are in the woods. They have a small room off the main house and a cottage available and the best part of this place...the hot tub located in a private gazebo! The breakfast food is delicious and the owners are very nice.
Elsbree House Beach Bed & Breakfast
Elsbree House is a great place to put up your out-of-town guests. The location is superb being just a few buildings off of the cliffs, and is within walking distance to Newport Ave, the main street in OB. The accommodations are not super fancy, but it is clean, cute and the service is great from the owners.
Sabrosa Taco Shop
I've had the carne asada burrito there a couple of times and its not the best ever carne asada, but they do serve a good size burrito! The service is exceptionally fast, even at lunchtime.
Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting Co.
Santa Cruz Coffee Roasting is a great place to go for coffee. They have pretty good drinks and snacks, occasionally have local music, and is a fantastic place to people watch downtown! Support local coffee houses and give this place a try!
Full Of Beans At The Beach
Friendly service and great coffee make this a great place to visit before, during or after a day at the beach. Full of Beans also has delicious deserts. They have a cute little patio so you can sit and read or just enjoy looking at the ocean. This place is also within walking distance of the RV campgrounds, so check it out!
Britannia Arms
Britannia Arms is a lot of fun. This place has a great crowd, great service, good beer and liquor selections, and they have table kegs! (long upright tubes that hold a couple of pitchers worth of the beer of your choice and have a tap...very fun!)
Ocean Beach Pier Cafe
Ocean Beach Pier Cafe has pretty decent breakfast (blueberry pancakes are the best) and offers a great place to get a warm drink and/or a snack during a beach day or a day of fishing on the pier. This place is not fancy and is family friendly.
Ocean Beach Paint Hardware
If you just need to get one thing or tired of the congestion of a big store like Home Depot, OB Hardware is the place for you (if you don't mind spending an extra 5% or more). I've never had a problem with the customer service, but the selection is limited.

This center uses forced chiropractic adjustments followed by electro shock massage therapy. The combination of the electro shock and adjustment have been the most effective means of fixing a pain that would not go away from regular adjustments alone. Dr. Johnson was very nice, his office took my insurance, and his office staff was very friendly.
