Nothing would make me go here. I've sat in their ER for 10+ hours with acute abdominal pain. Family members were sent by their primary doctors urgently, for heart issues, and made to wait hours. Even family brought in by 911 after collapsing had to wait in the waiting room.
I used to go to this practice. However, I do not go there any longer. They constantly lost records. I moved, and kept giving them my new address and phone number, and they never updated it. They also don't keep up on newer protocols, and tried to give my dog a 1 year rabies, instead of the 3 year. They also vaccinate annually, when most are going to less frequent. They have also become very expensive. I will not go there anymore.
I have been to many vets over the years. I am so glad I found Rockledge. Dr. Rubin is very caring. She takes as much time as is needed, and doesn't just rush in and out. She is also very available by phone to answer any questions or concerns. I can't recommend them highly enough.
They will immediately euthanize any dog that looks like a pit bull or sharpei, or a mix of either of those breeds, regardless of temperament, even if they have plenty of available cages. They also will not adopt out a FIV+ cat, even if the adopter wants to take on that responsibility. Only the youngest, most adoptable dogs have a chance here.
