Morelli's has a great variety of ice cream flavors, but not your run-of-the-mill typical flavors. Yes, there is chocolate and vanilla, but there is also lavendar ginger! If something sounds interesting, but you're not brave enough to order a cone of it they'll let you have a taste. I can't rave enough about this place. Who knew someone could make ice cream exotic?
There are many reasons to love Red Bandana from the variety of superb holistic foods to the fun dog toys. The main reason I love RB is their wide selection of antlers. My dogs love chewing on antlers. I like them because they're not greasy and they don't smell. Other stores sell one or two sizes and have probably a few in stock. I like that I have several buckets to choose from with a variety of sizes.
The Midway has quickly become a favorite of mine and my husband since it opened in EAV a couple of years ago. It has a great atmostphere indoors and outdoors. Their beer menu is extensive. I'm not a big beer drinker so it doesn't really concern me much. The food is good. The best is the fried grits that come as a side of the blackened catfish. Yummy! My favorite dish is the Reuben sandwich with a side of tots (sophisticated, I know!). I'm a Reuben snob who has tried a Reuben at almost every restaurant that offers it and the Midway makes one of the best. The Midway gets only 4 stars because sometimes the service can be slow and the music inside is very loud. It also has a great patio.
Holy Taco has some of the best chips and queso in town. I've had tortas that are small but pack a mighty punch flavor wise. The paella is very good as well as the Cuban sandwich. You get a sizable portion. I've always had leftovers the day after dining there. Their outdoor patio gives you a chance to enjoy the weather and people watch. One of the best patios around.
Zuma is one of my favorite sushi places in town. The prices are reasonable and the sushi is delicious. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. I love the atmosphere, too.
It has been a while since I dined at Ecco. But, one thing I still remember and crave is their honey covered goat cheese. It was absolutely delicious!
