This is a decent small neighborhood pharmacy. It is small and limited, but they pretty much have the basics and they deliver!
My daughter is a horse fanatic. For her 6th birthday, we wanted to do something special. We picked her up from school and brought her to Kensington Stables for a pony ride. It was inexpensive and a lot of fun for her. They also have regular riding lessons as well as birthday parties.
I've been to this place several times with my sister and niece because it's down the block from their apartment. The food is your standard diner fare but the service and people really stand out. They are so friendly and accomodating!
This is a great concept in theory. They will pick up and deliver not only your dry cleaning, but regular laundary also. I used them once or twice when I had a huge amount of clothes to get done, and their service was pretty bad. They came later than they said (after giving me a 4 hour window!) to pick up and when I tried to schedule the drop off, I couldn't get them on the phone.
She was my primary care physician for several years and was fine, not great. The waits were long and she tended to be rushed and kind of brusk. But she was competent and personable. I ultimately decided to go elsewhere.
I've rented from Speedy a lot over the years. The prices and cars are decent (not great), but they only rent cars over the weekend for the entire weekend, meaning Friday evening to Monday morning. I still use them when I need a car for that long, but for shorter outings, I go elsewhere. When the owner is there, you get good and quick service. When he isn't, well then it's the luck of the draw.
This is a fabulous place! I hurt my knee a few years ago and went to this physical therapy center in lower Manhattan. They have many available time slots; I went after work, before work and at lunchtime. They are very good at diagnosing your problem which includes speaking to your doctor if necessary, and then they work with you at your own pace to work on whatever problem you have. They were gentle and not pushy. Great listeners. They also gave me exercises that I did after the therapy was over and I was fully cured! All of the physical therapists were interesting and fun too--we had great conversations!
First of all, the owner is a doll! He is so helpful and not pushy at all and he has a real appreciation and eye for children's clothes! It is pricey, but for a gift or a dress/outfit for a special occasion, this is the perfect place. I have bought several special dresses for my daughter here, as well as gifts for babies and we're always satisfied. He also has frequent sales.
I haven't been to the new location, but I went a ton to the old location and the food was always fresh and delicious. I once totally embarassed myself by asking for a Reuben sandwich (yes, I was raised Jewish); I forgot that they are kosher and can't mix meat and dairy. Everyone had a good laugh! They have great corned beef, pastrami, etc.
Mitali East is my favorite of the Indian restaurants on the 6th Street strip. It has a nice ambiance and wonderful Indian food. It's not dirt cheap like the others, but it's worth it and where I always take out of town guests to experience NYC Indian food at its finest.
