Staten Island, NY
My experience with the Cabinet Factory in Staten Island was NOT a good one. Agnes helped me plan my kitchen remodel with no problems at all. She was a pleasure to deal with. My problems began with the contractor. Note that the Cabinet Factory hires subcontractors - unlike they tell you in their commercials. The contractor I got for my kitchen - although very nice - he did not do a good job. That contractor hired a friend (unlicensed) to do my tile, which came out nice, but also to install my stove and dishwasher. The next morning I had a GAS LEAK in my condo. During installation a part behind the stove was cracked causing the leak. (It was a brand new stove being installed.) The contractor asked me to buy the new part and told me he would pay me the $120 it cost. To date (6 months later) I have not received the money and he has not returned my calls. My brand new dishwasher that the contractor himself installed leaked from day one. He told me it was broken and to call Whirlpool. After a visit from Whirlpool - they informed me that NOTHING is wrong with the dishwasher, but the INSTALLATION was wrong. It was installed on a slant causing the water to flow forward. After Whirlpool leveled the dishwasher it works wonderfully.
Towards the end of my kitchen renovation it was hard to get my contractor to come over to finish the job. Most of the time he didn't show up and didn't call to tell me he wasn't coming. I went months with no cabinet handles that he told me were on order at the store. I called the store and they told me they had plenty in stock. I finally went down to the store myself to pick them up. And I never saw my contractor again. In the mean time I had to hire my own handy man to finish all the crappy work the contractor did. He clearly didn't care about my kitchen or doing the job right.
The Cabinet Factory is a joke. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
