Scot's is one of a handful of gay/lesbian bars in Lincoln Square. I have come here with some of my friends who are big martini fans and they love this place.
As the name suggests, the Waterfront Pub is located along the waterfront and has piers for boaters to pull up and dock. Their menu includes sandwiches and pork chops, but after 6 pm they only serve pizza. The place is good, but not memorable.
The Velvet Lounge is the perfect place to listen to fantastic jazz music. They have different artistics through the week and the atmosphere is intimate. Great place!
The Rail Club is located inside the Ogilvie Transportation Center so if you're waiting on a train to depart after work, this is a nice spot to hit before heading home.
Brando's Speakeasy is awesome! The staff is out of this world and really the bar special! I recommend coming here after work.
The Shrine has a bit of a split personality. Half of the bar is great for dancing, while the other half is perfect for having conversating and sipping cocktails with friends. I've come here on a couple of different occasions and the crowd is not always the same, it can be a bit hit or miss.
The Tasting Room has a great wine selection and excellent views of the city. They have a good menu, but can run on the pricey side.
Great place on restaurant row! The atmosphere is pretty sweet and the crowd is great when you can get in. It gets very crowded and is almost impossible to dance.
Cal's 400 is a great dive! They have cheap drinks, mixed crowd, and great music in an intimate atmosphere!
Liquor Mart is close to my house so whenever my friends need anything they head there. The employees are super nice and they have a good selection. Also, if you need snacks of any kind they have you covered. Good place!
