Yes, Yang Chow offers somewhat "Americanized" Chinese food -- but that is not necessarily a bad thing! To me, it is a GOOD thing!
I am a lifelong fan of YangChow's Slippery Shrimp. It is definitely addicting. My other favorites dishes are the steamed pork dumplings, hot and sour soup, the Szechuan beef, and the lychee ice cream.
Awesome baby back ribs. Meat just falls off the bone. Wowwowwow to the pulled pork sandwich too. Undescribably delicious bbq sauce.
Best Pizza ever. I used to live near here, and they spoiled me. I can't eat pizza anywhere else now. Their crust is AWESOME --crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Not greasy at all. They use REAL cheese. Sausage and pepperoni are delicious. They even have pastrami pizza. You gotta try this place.
Service is prompt.
One of my favorite Farmers' markets in southern california. My Saturday mornings don't feel complete unless I make my way to this Farmer's Market near UCI.
In my book, there really aren't many things that are better than a Farmers' Market. And this is a great one. The goods here are incredibly fresh, and the variety ranges from fruit to veggies to flowers to herbs to Black Market bakery goods.
I love that most of the vendors offer samples, and that the prices here are very reasonable.
I have to confess upfront to being addicted to their BURRITO GIGANTE. Afterward, I even feel guilty about eating it .... but of course I eventually come back for more. The flautas are another favorite of mine, as are the beer battered fish tacos. I don't particularly care for their enchiladas. I do recommend the black beans.
They serve you chips and fresh salsa promptly when you arrive. Wait staff is friendly & the service speedy.
Reasonable prices, too.
The BEST PUB in the LA area. They have all of my favorite Craftsman beers on tap. And awesome bartenders who really know their stuff.
Their food is so-so; their music can be downright awful at times. But that's not why you come here -- you come here for the BEER. World Class Beer.
Pricing: Beers range from $3 to $9.
Heads up:Ridiculously crowded on Friday nights.
Thumbs up for Dr. Limfatt. Brilliant doc. He was able to diagnose a vision problem that no one else could. I had seen a series of eye specialists over the span of 6 or 7 years, and Limfatt was the one guy who FINALLY figured it out. If you need your eyes examined, he's the man.
Wonderful obgyn but COLD AS A FISH. She delivered our gorgeous baby girl. She is talented and smarter than heck. We are sincerely greatful for her skills. However she can be strangely emotionless. Also odd is how she literaly blankets the office with pictures of her children. I mean hundreds of photos. Nice looking kids, but enuf already.
If you have time to kill, come by on the weekends and wait 2 hours for a table. NOT. If you have an ounce of sanity, you'll only come here on weekdays to avoid the hordes.
Still, its hard to beat their lasagna. Pretty awesome food overall.
Friendly family-style restaurant. (Whoever Jennifer R. is, she must have been smoking something. No clothes here, lady.) You'll see your neighbors from Arcadia, SM, and Pasadena here. Down to earth food for down to earth people. No Paris Hilton sightings -- ever. (thank god)
Very popular on weekend mornings. Good service, good food, nice atmosphere.
