Firehouse Bicycles

I stopped in this store last summer when I was building up an older bike. I wanted a particular stem, and sure enough, Firehouse had what I was looking for.

It is located upstairs in an old building that was formerly a firehouse. When you visit, be sure to stop in the cafe downstairs too. You can sit in the outdoor area and have a pizza and beer, or some coffee.

High Road Cycles

I checked out this store when I was shopping for my current road bike. Although it is a small store, they have a lot of bikes to choose from. I didn't purchase my bike here, but I'd recommend anyone shopping for a bike to consider this store.

Bean's Bikes & Boards

I checked out the large selection of Cannondale road bikes in this store when I was shopping for my last bike. The staff was quite helpful. I would highly recommend this store to anyone shopping for a high-end road bike.

Glen Cove Marina

Glen Cove Marina is a fairly easy marina to launch from, also it can get busy. The parking can get filled up on a nice weekend. Also has flush toilets. After launching, it has total access to the river, unlike the marinas on the opposite side of the river. Those on the opposite side, the boats have to fit under the railroad bridge to access the river.

Peach Bottom Marina

Peach Bottom Marina has a large parking lot across the road from the boat launch area. I am able to launch my bass boat from this marina, but larger boats may not be able to launch here because after launching, you my drive the boat out an access channel and under a railroad bridge to get into the river itself. There have been times when the water was so high I thought I'd have to remove the pedestal seats from the deck of the boat to get back under the railroad bridge to get back to the marina. Other times the water was so low, mostly during times of draught, that I was in about 2 feet of water in the river itself near the entrance back into marina.

Acorn Market

My wife and I had lunch here when vacationing in the area. This is a typical mini-mart type convenience store with the addition of being able to order fresh sandwiches and pizza slices made to order, fries, etc. It also has several tables to eat in. The food was actually pretty good.

Bower's Marine Sales

We bought our last boat here at Bower's. The sale was the easiest of all the boats we have purchased. One of the staff even took us for a test drive and taught us how to drive our new boat. We make the drive to have it serviced at Bower's too. Highly recommend.

This is a big store with a huge selection of bows to choose from. They also have the largest selection of accessories around too. This store will fill all your needs, whether it is hunting or target archery.

Gateway Garden Ctr Inc

I've purchased most of my trees and shrubs at Gateway. Their stock always is healthy and seems to do well even in our heavy clay soil. The staff is very helpful in suggesting the proper soil amendments for the particular plantings.
