Located within 5 miles of my home in Escondido, Orfila Winery offers some great wines from locally grown grapes. They bottle the normal reds, whites, blush, merlot, etc. In addition to a wine club, the winery offers a great gift shop. Stop in and try it.
Lake Arrowhead Retreats
If you have not been to Lake Arrowhead Retreats then you have not experienced the most fun a crafter or quilter can have. Margie & Sharon are wonderful hostesses who do all the cooking and clean up while we quilt. What a life.

Go-Mart Market & LIquor, next to Del Taco. is a convenient place to run in for one or two items rather than wait in line at the grocery store. They have the usual variety of liquor. This is where I buy my lottery tickets. I have not won yet, but I will

Mart's Donuts is one of many donut shops in Escondido, but along with the usual assortment, they have crossants and other goodies. I always have a tough time deciding what to pick. I always go for the apple fritters
Belen Bakery
Belen Bakery on Escondido Blvd. offers a variety of breads along with wonderful sandwiches. Everything is baked fresh daily.
Major Market Inc
While Costco has cheaper cakes, Major Market shines when it comes to special cakes. The have the most wonderful, chocolate cake which is my favorite.
Mikki's Restaurant
If you want home cooking without cooking it yourself, try Mikki's Restaurant. I have not had one menu item that I have not liked.
BC Cakes
I ordered my sister's birthday cake from BC Cakes in Vista. The texture was moist and the flavor of their "plain" white cake was remarkable. I will order from them again.
Audiosport
About 6 months ago, I decided I needed new speakers in my vehicle. Not knowing exactly what I wanted I visited Audio Sports and was totally pleased. The tech made a recommendation based upon what I told him and did a super job.
Ne-Mo's Bakery Inc
I have bought "lunch" in a convenience store many times and without knowing it, I had a cake from Ne-mo's. Then a friend stopped at a gas station and brought some to a pot luck at the office. Everyone liked the cakes. From what I understand, Ne-mo's will help with marketing for their cakes and other products.
