Shiatsu with Anna Kaye
Anna has magic fingers. After being on my bicycle in the rider's position for 6+ hours, I sometimes knot up in my neck and shoulders. Anna Kaye was recommended by one of my cycling teammates and I coulnd't believe what a difference she made in my comfort level.
Pedalers West Bike Shop
One of my cycling buddies introduced me to Pedalers West when I was looking for a new wedge for my road bike. I was having a hard time finding just the right size which was odd. Pedalers West had a small assortment, and although I didn't find the wedge I was looking for, I picked up some gels and chamois butter that was on sale. I liked this shop and can see myself coming back.
Tony's Schwinn Bike Shop
Tony's Bike shop serviced my Le Tour GS. I love that bike more than I can say and needed some help when my gears weren't shifting correctly. I thought I was going to have to leave it, but they had me wait a few minutes and fixed it on the spot. I was so surprised they did the service right then and there and didn't even charge me!
Primo's Bike Shop
I want to be fair in my review of Primo's, so I'll just say that if you have any familiarity with bicycles and parts, this probably isn't the best place to go. If you're a total newbie and/or just needs something very, very simple as a started, then I would suggest coming here first as a comparison to other shops I would encourage you to try. Primo's is bargain basement shopping at retail prices.
Mike's Bike Shop
When I was in the area of Mike's Bike Shop, I decided to stop in. I'm an avid cyclist and enjoy discovering new shops, so I popped in and took a look. I'm a friendly person and always say hello when I walk into a place. I didn't get one back, but didn't let that deter me. This is almost a vintage bike shop, filled with classics. When I started asking questions about the bikes, it broke the ice and I had an interesting conversation with the guys in the store. They take some warming up to, but it's a nice shop.
Martin's Bikes
I go to Martin's Bikes mostly for the clothes, especially when they go on sale. I love Sugoi shorts, but not the price. When Martin's has a sale, it's great! The guys who work there are always very friendly too.
Rockys Bike Shop
Rocky's has been a friend to my cycling team for a while. They give our team some great discounts and are always so nice to us when we do fundraisers. They know their bikes!
Sandy's Painting Co
Sandy's Painting did a fair job for me. I had them come out and fix up the trim on a property we were trying to turn around quickly for a sale. I didn't have time to inspect the work before they left, but found they missed several sections that were supposed to be done and there were some splatters that hadn't been taken care of. With one phone call, they sent two crew members back out to complete the work. I'm happy they did what I wanted in the end, but I'm concerned what would have happend if I hadn't inspected the work when I did.
Personal Seamstress
The Personal Seamstress has done a few favors for me recently, including custom drapes and a coverlet for a baby's room I was decorating. I had some very high end fabric flown in from Europe with to die for crystal edgings I needed someone I trusted to work their magic on. The Personal Seamstress was the one I chose and they didn't let me down. The finished product could have been in a palace, it was so gorgeous.
Tiara Fashions Hand Bag & Cstm
I worked with Tiara Fashions to help with a custom order for a long time client of mine. After we finished redecorating her master bedroom and bathroom, I wanted something special to show her how much I appreciated her. I sent Tiara Fashions a length of fabric and asked them to custom make a makeup bag and accessory holder to match the fabrics in the bathroom. When I received the finished items, they were even better than I could have imagined! My client was speechless. So was I!
