We wanted Thai food on our vacation and it took more than an hour to get it. The guest who were at the table looked angry and hungry. We saw a sign that said the wait is long, but well worth it. So we thought it was normal. There was one old man who took all the orders and seated individuals. The woman did not do anything but hand out menus. She acted like she did not know how to seat people. There were plenty of tables left, but they did not seat anyone and people kept waiting by the door and then leaving. I looked over at a table and this lady gave me a look like: leave if you know what is good for you. We finally got seated after waiting for 20 minutes and we waited another 15 minutes for them to get our orders. When we told him that we did not want peanuts in our pad thai, he told us he would try because it was a special order. Are you kidding me special order, just don't include the peanuts for the topping. We waited another 45 minutes until they brought out the food. In the meantime a couple dined and dashed, meaning they did not pay for their beer because they must of been waiting for over an hour to receive their food. Another couple threatened to leave, but they offered them another coke to stay. They said that everyone who eats their food cleans their plate, of course they clean their plate because they wait for over an hour and they are hungry. We finally received our food and it was good, but a small portion. He told us that our pad thai was coming and he has to hide the peanuts from his cook because the lady messed up the order 2 times already. He finally brought it out and the portion was ridiculously small and we were shocked because we could of ate it in one bite. Luckily the pad thai had peanuts on it. We told the man that peanuts were on it and he was upset and said I told the cook not to do it. Then when we paid for our curry, he told us he should stop taking special orders. Again no peanuts, special order???? They must of changed owners because this placed looked and sounded a whole lot better than what I expected. There was no longer a bar there. I do not drink, but the bar in the picture looked nice, but inside the bar is covered with paper and old mail. There was one last family left who had been waiting for more than 40 minutes and they decided to seat themselves. Do not go here unless there is no one there because more than 2 tables means this restaurant is too busy and you will wait a long time.
Best Thai food I have ever had. The Pad Thai is the best and the portion for the noodles and meat is well worth the price: $9.50. The curry and the Tom Yom Soup is also very good and everything else I have ordered at the restaurant has tasted perfect. I have never had a bad experience here. The individuals that work here are nice and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Its a shame that this place is not more well known because the food is worth it and the food comes quick.
This place has changed. One of the individuals is still very nice, but the manager or the person who takes in the clothes is rude. We walked in to trade the clothes and she made it clear that she would need to see ID. I understand that when individuals trade in items at any location, whether it is a game store or video, ID is important because of the possibilities of theft. It sounds like based on her tone and look that she wanted to deter us from trading in our items because she thought we stole it. It felt like the television commercial with the white male, who called for an available apartment in different voices to see how the manager would react. She wrote our name on the board in a matter of minutes, stating that she checked our items. They were suppose to dump our items in a laundry basket to look through them, but I do not believe she even took the time to do so. When we received our bags back it did not look like she even took the time to look over the items. When we checked in to see if she had finished, she acted like she had not seen us before and asked us if we had been in the store for a long time and it was approximately 5 minutes. She used a condescending tone throughout the process, acting like we did not understand English or understand her rudimentary sign in process. I will not return to this place again. Her attitude made us put back the potential items we wanted to purchase. Go to Portland or another location or if you see the lady with the glasses turn back around because her Jim Crow attitude is disgusting.
